Oh, I am in love with this ring!!! I can’t stop staring at it and it catches my eye often

Thanks so much! I didn’t get to wear this sapphire around much before I handed it off, so I didn’t get to see it’s different lighting personalities.

It’s raining again today and the lighting inside my house is poor. So here are kitchen pics and a really dreary interior pic where the stone looks navy!

It's even better than the one you lost.

It's more sparkly and even in meh lighting conditions, it's depth of color is amazing.
I can't wait to see optimal light pics. Seriously.

TBF, this one was a lot more expensive than the last one. Gary said it’s getting harder and harder to find sapphires like this one, and his description said he would love to see it go in an engagement ring, so I figured it must be pretty special.

I also can’t wait for optimal sun photos. I’m going back to the other house friday morning for Mardi Gras, so I need to get it insured first and then I might have some really cool pics of it. (Probably not wearing it to the parades. That is how solange lost her engagement ring).

I probably need to run to the Home Depot lighting section

OMG the cannoli king cake is worth the trip lol. It’s supposed to be sunny and 80 so yeah, I’m getting sunburned no matter what I do.

I do need to go find all of my receipts and get insurance on it before it leaves the house.

Oh and I have a surprise.

DK made 2 rings for me. I probably handled it incorrectly as I told Inken in the before times that I would give her first dibs at setting the emerald she sourced for me, but in the aftermath of losing the two rings, I just wanted a cast 14k unplated white gold ring with lab melee. If DK was doing one ring for me, it was just easy for him to make 2 rings for me. I’m sorry to Inken: she does beautiful work and I would absolutely still recommend her for any colored stone or custom setting work.

Emeralds are a real witch to photograph. This one keeps looking a bit teal in the pics and I don’t see any teal

Ugh, I don't care how it photographs. It's beautiful. Give it to me!
One day I'll do Mardi Gras, I'll probably go with one of my kids.

I think it’s 2.29 carat

Side stones are .62 5.5 mm

My right hand ring finger is size 8.25

Thanks everyone. My husband accidentally threw away my last lunesta last night (it was nowhere to be found) so my brain isn’t braining this morning.
