My New Blue Bling - 3.8ct Sapphire in DK Custom Setting

I requested help in the colored-stones forum to find a blue sapphire. I was guided to a 3.8 carat natural Sri Lanka sapphire (heated) from Pearlman's with dimensions close to my desired specifications. It's 9.04 x 8.14 x 5.85 mm. Thank you to all of you that helped me! Pearlman's was easy to work with. Quick to respond with additional photos and I had the stone in my possession within a few days. I already knew the setting I wanted and that I'd have it made by David Klass. My design was pretty basic. David provided my CAD within a few days and after only one revision, I was ready to proceed. I dropped off my sapphire to DK and in a few weeks, my lovely ring was on my hand. On to the photos...

Thank you. It's so beautiful. I had expected the blue to be darker once set so I am getting used to it being lighter than I anticipated.

I'm loving it too! I looked back and I originally saved the inspiration photo of the setting in 2013. I wanted it for an e-ring upgrade but decided a larger diamond is not for me (at least for now). I'm so happy that I used the design for this ring instead.
