This is my Mom’s 5 stone amalgamation of her 38 yrs of marriage. My dad proposed with at .38 rb…and then years later (some 10 or 15 I’m not sure) my Mom upgraded by adding to it; turning it into a 3 stone ring. Then in 2001, she purchased the fourth .4 stone and the center stone which is just under 1 carat. All diamonds are uncerted. I must admit, it’s probably the most sparkly collection of uncerted, ungraded diamonds. Ironically, perhaps due to sentimentality, it’s probably my favourite 5 stone ring. Set in platinum, the setting is quite unusual. The girdle of each of the four side stones are the interestig part. One side is supported by prongs, while the other side sits in a small groove on the prong of it’s neighboring stone. It’s a take on 'shared prong' and truly an ‘invisible’ setting; and has proved to be extremely durable over the past 7+ years. She’s had zero maintenance issues.
ETA sorry for the lint!!!
Enjoy!
Thanks for looking

What a pretty ring!

I love the bling and the sentimentality behind it too!

wow! That is a beautiful 5 stone! I love the profile and the simplicity of the setting. I also love how she''s added stones over the years-a real treasure!

I actually really, really like it! I think first of all it is a beautiful ring consisting of gorgeous diamonds, and then I just love it''s history and sentimentality. It definitely has the makings of an heirloom piece of jewelry! Great pics, btw, thank you for sharing, Mela!

Beautiful, and I love the meaning, sentimental reasons behind the stones.
