My friend''s Tiffany Three Stone E-Ring

Hi Everyone,

It''s been a while but I wanted to post some pics of a ring my friend got recently. I have a thread at RockyTalky b/c I am not totally sure about the diamond but it looks really beautiful. What do I know? I''m not a diamond expert. Anyway, here are some pictures. It is a three stone diamond and sapphire ring and she bought it at Tiffany.

Oops,I forgot to mention the Sapphires. They were graded B 6/6, (the best), and they each weigh 1.11 carats. The total weight of her ring is 4.32 carats!

I think it does too. But from what I read on here about 60/60 stones, they are controversial. I''m not totally sure why. When I put it in the HCA, it got a very low score, like 1.3 or something. The GIA cut calculator rated it excellent. And the AGS tables on Octynus gave it a "0" from what I could tell. But I am not an expert. I can only access things online. I will say that she told me that she just liked the way this looked on her hand. And I saw it today. It''s really really incredible.

That looks gorgeous!!!! I thought a 1.3 is an excellent score on the HCA scale?

Hi EHR,

Yeah it is an excellent score. I wrote "low" meaning "good". My diamond E-ring scored like a 3 on there two years ago. But I got it recut to improve performance.

Right??!! I know. You are right about that. I am going to try to take some on her this weekend if we get together. This is the diamond Dreamer that you and I discussed a couple of weeks back. I guess 60/60 isn''t usually ideal, but sometimes it is. This one IS. I saw it in person and it really reminds me of the exquisite ones Brian Gavin cuts. It''s just "WOW".

Really? I see them all the time. But I love Tiffany. Here is a picture of my Legacy I bought in 2008. But I do agree that the ring is out of this world. I wish you could see it in person.

Thanks EHR. It''s actually a tanzanite. A very blue tanzanite. No red flash in that baby and it''s two years on. I still get compliments on it all the time.

Thanks Buddha! I''ll tell you, my DH made me wait for that ring for ten years. It was worth the wait though.
