Sorry just wanted to ask is your avatar a Lilac Siamese - I used to have a female named Tamara she was 16 years old when she died, not bad in cat years. She was terribly spoilt though I think that makes a difference. I have a black oriental now he is beautiful too!

Hi Monnyjay! I am not sure about the pedigree of my Siamese (his name is Simon--it was not intended as a pun; he is named after one of my best friends). I think he might be a Blue Point...? I got him from a shelter in Los Angeles where he was placed after his original owner passed away (an old lady was what they told me). I just went in and asked for the next cat who was going to be put to sleep because the little kittens get adopted more often than older cats. Anyway, he turned out to be the best kitty! He goes on trips and just sits on the back seat (sans cat carrier) in his bed. He really doesn''t do any bad-kitty things (and we have three other cats, two of whom definitely do bad kitty things!).

He is about 11 years old and is hyperthyroid, so when you said that Tamara lived to 16 that made me happy...I just want Simon to live forever! Sorry for the long rant...I just love kitties!

A black oriental sounds beautiful. I wish we could send personal messages to each other with pics!
