Hi all! I''m so happy to have finally finished my diamond leverback earring project! I had originally wanted studs, but realized that I almost always wear leverbacks. That switch to leverbacks made it difficult to find the diamonds and leverback settings stock online, so I went ahead and bought the diamonds on their own from Blue Nile (thread here) while I figured out the settings. I sent the .55 back and kept the two .56''s (so 1.12ctw and diameters of 5.30mm and 5.32mm).
I ended up going back to my engagement ring jeweler (Laura Pearce LTD), and asked them to set the diamonds in a 3 prong/martini style drop/dangle leverback in white gold. They exceeded my expectations...I love their minimal and invisible design! The settings were a little more expensive than stock settings at other jewelers I visited (how I agonized over that additional cost!) but now am so thankful to have spent the extra to get exactly what was in my mind''s eye.
