That is a really beautiful setting. It looks so graceful. I love the surprise diamonds! I love the five-stone band, too, and the two rings complement each other very well.
Just watched the video (you added it after I started my reply). Wow!! It's even prettier in person. Congratulations on your rings - it must feel great to have designed them and now to see them brought to completion.
Fantastic job SC - you must be very proud to have designed such an original and pretty set yourself, great vision!
Hey, I hope you don't mind me mentioning this here, but I have often wondered..why is it that Winks' CAD's look so..well, different to pretty much all other vendors'.
I find them quite difficult to interpret to the real life ring, especially since they are done in YG and your set is actually in plat..
did you find this an issue at all in the process?
I guess I'm just curious, are they using an older program than other vendors or something like that..?
Anyhow, sorry to get off track.
Again, beautiful job on the set - when is the engagement?
I love seeing Wink's videos. So much more exciting than photos. Its a fabulous setting and you must be very proud to have been the one to design it. Well done!
Thanks. I have input from my gf too, so the design is more like what features she likes and I try to accommodate them.
Engagement will be in Dec when she graduates.
About the CAD, I did not ask Wink about it but as an engineer, we usually just use whatever layout we have on hand and used to for visualization. So probably the CAD designer at Wink's bench is just used to using that as a standard format. Probably could have asked for one with silver color and they could have easily accommodate the change but I did not bother as I am more concern with the rings' shape and how they fit together and not how the ring will look in silver color, any less bright color would have work well for me.
Others have probably already said it better than me, but it's totally awesome that you created the design. The finished rings are wonderful and all the more special because of your creativity. Congratulations on great execution of your design.
That design is truly gorgeous and unique it looks like a diamond encrusted crown from the side. While watching the video, I was surprised the diamond is a P because it faces up so white. I bet your future FI will feel like a princess with those rings!
What a creative design!! I LOVE how the head is like a sideways RC, and the surprise stones make it look a bit like the bellerina pendant from face-up (well, that was my first thought!)
Congratulations!! All that rhino fun paid off and the P looks edible
