Yeah I told him he set himself up big time when he gave me this....the E ring must be out of this world...I ahve a setting picked out from Knox Jewelers that I like...its beautiful....but the center diamond needs to be 2c....so....he''s got his work cut out for him....

What exactly is a promise ring? What does it symbolise? I don''t think it is very common where I live (Canada). Before PS I had the notion that it was sort of a High School romance idea. Something you gave/got if you were too young to get married. But that doesn''t seem to be the case with the Promise rings I see here.
