My Birthday Present - Raspberry Sapphire RHR

I picked this out yesterday for my upcoming birthday. The sapphire is a cushion cut, 1.33 carat and I picked a thick YG solitaire band for it.

The color isn't recording well in photos; the pictures on the right are more true color. It is definitely a raspberry color.

Thank you Sandyin Anaheim. We tried the sapphire with WG, RG and YG - it looked bad with RG and popped more in YG. It’s funny how appearances change based on the metal color you use.

Thank you Kate. I have really been enjoying the chunky band and lovely color. Nothing beats the feel of solid gold.

Thank you AV. I do see some pinks and blues sometimes in the stone but when I hold it by my lavender sapphire or pink sapphire you can tell the difference.
