My BGD Aurora 1/2 Eternity is READY AND ON THE WAY!!!

YAY. YAY. YAY!

WOW. I can't believe I get to wear this beauty on my finger in less than a day. I've got butterflies. Brian and Lesley did a fabulous job.

Where to start?

I was inspired by many bands, but primarily by the hand shots Cakelady posted of her Blue Nile Garland band (which is very similar to a Tiffany band and a Verragio band). But I wanted the profile of the ring customized and I wanted H&A superideals.

So I worked with the VERY patient Brian and Lesley to have this band made. Here, in detail, is the process of the ring's creation from The first round of CADs, through the third round of CADs to the wax, and the setting polished but unset. I think it's a fun thread that is educational for anyone who is thinking of going the custom route.

The completed band is now named the Aurora band! Here are the "glamour" shots.

Sorry, I was so excited about the band being done I forgot the stats.

5 .32 BGD signature hearts and arrows ideal AGS 0 diamonds at G color and SI1 clarity.
8 .10 BGD signature hearts and arrows melee diamonds in F-G color and VS clarity.

2.4 ctw of diamonds.

Band is done in platinum. And it is a size 6.5.

Thanks so much everyone! I'm so glad so many people like the milgrain. I'm still a little undecided about it, but left it on because I like that it's something that is really just for 'me'... suprise milgrain. I really do think I'm going to be glad I decided to go for it when I see it in person, though.

I DID get a manicure. My nails are SUPER short, but they are festive in a nice holiday red. As I *never* wear nailpolish it makes typing seem like fun... red flashes out of no where.

I got a pedicure too .

I'm wired waiting for this thing. Good thing I put on nail polish, else I'd totally mess up my manicure by biting all my nails to the quick. New bling is so much fun, and I am so blessed that I was able to get this piece this year. And that Brian and Lesley were able to accomodate it in their production schedule!
