Hi. I'm new here, usually post on the colored gemstones board. They suggested I try here since I'm looking for information about an antique piece.
I bought this ring 20 years ago in the Middle East. It's got 40 small diamonds (1.8-2mm) around 5mm emerald, rose cut diamond, and iolite (I think a replacement for a sapphire), set in white gold in a jardiniere style, with yellow gold, white gold, and silver for the center settings. When I bought it, I was told it was from the 1930s or 40s, made in the Middle East (markings are all in Arabic). I had a jeweler confirm the stones and the metal and secure the settings, but I don't know anything else. It's one ring, with a split shank that merges into a solid band. and multiple "flowers." I think 14k.
I've never seen another ring like this and I'm not quite sure what to make of it. What do you think of the era/style?
