First of all I have to say, this has been a busy month for Whiteflash here on PS! I see "WF" and "ACA" in every other thread! I hope I'm not boring everyone with yet ANOTHER WF ring!

Anyways, I came back to PS a few years ago to research my MRB upgrade and got sidetracked by all the beautiful cushions. I ended up taking a detour with a cushion halo, but ultimately MRBs are what I love the most and I still yearned for that bigger MRB. Luckily, DH is VERY understanding of my diamond obsession, and for our 10 yr wedding anniversary, I got back on track with the upgrade I intended 3 years ago.
The stone I had for the last 10 yrs was I-colored, and about 6 months ago there was a ~2.8ct 9mm I VS2 ACA that I was eyeing, but before I could make a decision, the stone was snatched up. I waited and searched for a similar stone, but no luck. WF had a couple of 2.6+ct I VS and 3ct J-SI stones in their inventory but none of them felt right. Finally one day late last year, this 3.23ct J-VS2 popped up in my search. Though I was apprehensive about a J-colored stone, I kept going back to WF's site to see it. It isn't a ACA but looking at the photos and specs, it comes pretty close! After another month of waiting, I finally gave up on a 2.8ct I VS2. Becca from WF later emailed me a side by side comparison of a 8.9mm I next to this stone and while the color difference was negligible, the size difference is very visible, so I'm glad I went with a bigger J!

The stone
3.228ct J VS2
Depth % 62.2
Table % 56.6
Crown Angle 34.6
Star 49
Pavilion Angle 40.9
Crown %
Lower Girdle % 78
Measurements 9.42-9.46X5.87
Fluorescence Negligible
Girdle Thin to Slightly Thick Faceted

The setting
WF custom made a new Tiffany style head for my original setting, which was not made by WF.

Here are some hand shots I took under department store lighting. I didn't get a chance to download them off my phone and resize them until now.

D2B, Acinom, Laila619, Sphene, Missy, Downsy - Thank you for your sweet compliments!

m-2-b - Before I found the stone, I had decided on the Vatche U-113 for my next setting, until I saw the setting WF made for your 4.5ct beauty. It has definitely inspired a few of us here on PS! :D
