Wrong! The Obama admin created Trump b/c of their loose policies on Immigration and national security.

That's rich, Dancing Fire. I bet that you are a big believer in "law and order" and punishing the "criminal" rather than the society who created him. Yet here you are, being an apologist for a villain. It isn't poor Trump's fault that that he is a bigot and a misogynist. Obama forced him to be one. Sometimes the irony is just too much.

Deb :read:
I will not vote for Trump, period!. I am trying to make excuses to vote for H. Clinton.

Can't stand Trump or Hillery. What a mess!

Listen, here's how I see it. You attack the spouse when the candidate themselves doesn't have that much you can get them on. That's what happened with John Kerry. I don't even see the point of attacking Trumps wives, ANY OF THEM, because of all the material he himself provides is more than ample. The wives are irrelevant. If Trump wins the election his wife posing nude anywhere is not even going to make my top TWENTY of things I am worried about. Heck she could parade around the White House topless on a regular basis and I wouldn't give a hoot.

From what I've read, the ad about the nude photos ran in Utah. It wasn't from Cruz supporter specifically, but from anti-Trump activists. Because Utah is quite conservative, it was thought that the ad could be persuasive. Not defending the ad, just explaining.

So true, Gypsy. Every time Trump opens his mouth is a reason not to vote for him.

Frankly, I dont care she posed nude. I understand that it actually mean something to some people though, being that some people don't condone pornography. I'm not going to slut shame her.

She married him for his money, I assume. And when that happens often times yes, that kind of woman is attractive. Kind of part and parcel with the whole thing. I suppose she could have married him for his brains, but after getting to know him, that's much worse.

The Republicans and Fox created Trump.

Their divisive, nasty rhetoric over the last few years have angered a portion of the population and that portion have been looking for a candidate. They wanted a candidate that was as nasty, uncouth, loud-mouthed, and asinine as they are. Someone that could fill the shoes of their beloved, brainless, "maverick", Sarah Palin. They found it in Trump.

As you sow, so shall you reap.

The Republicans talked about a "Washington outsider", "someone not afraid to speak their mind".

All Trump is doing is calling their bluff.

(haven't been reading these threads, pretty sure someone must have already covered this. Oh, and also someone probably pointed out this pointed out this scene from Idiocracy, the movie that predicted our current situation:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGUNPMPrxvA )

If it's any consolation, my aunt, who Loooooved Palin, is planning on voting for Hillary.

I don't disagree that Trump was a creation of a combination of factors (some of the republicans, the media, the general public, etc.), but where does that leave the republican vote? It's easy to say you reap what you sow, but that's a tough pill to swallow for the general public who just wants a decent candidate to vote for. Just because some republicans might have hoped for a candidate with certain characteristics (a Washington outsider, etc.), doesn't necessarily mean that the republicans (in general) are responsible for creating him, supporting him, promoting him, etc. It's just an ugly mess and so unfortunate for those of us who have no one to vote for.

I blame the big money donors who backed Bush. Why they thought that was a good idea I don't know. They went after Rubio and took him out thinking Trump would take himself out. Rubio wasn't a perfect candidate, but he was a decent one who could have beat Hillery.

It isn't that I care that she posed nude. My views on pornography aren't even coming into play here. It is my personal view that I never, ever see the first lady strewn naked across the glossy pages of a magazine. I feel that it is perfectly OK to set that standard.

There is no way Rubio could have beaten Hillary.

That's a completely understandable position to take. I think we can all agree, on the whole, their presidency would be an utter embarrassment

^yes, that many of us can agree on =)
I think about that awful mayor Toronto had (Rob Ford) and all of the media coverage, jokes, skits, etc. Obviously, the presidency is a much larger scale  A Trump presidency would give SNL material for years to come.... :errrr:

I don't. It's the GOP voters who keep pushing level-headed conservatives out of the running for office.

National polls had Rubio beating Clinton.
Now we will never know.

No, but I don't think the democrats have any better in this election. Hillary & Bernie may not get the media coverage that Trump does, but their crazy well runs pretty deep too IMO, so I feel sorry for democrats too. The whole thing is a mess as far as I'm concerned.

What polls were those? Every poll that I ever saw while Rubio was running had Clinton beating everyone, including Trump.

LOL! So called "national polls" are only as good as the clear-eyed realism of the pollsters doing them. Everyone including Romney and Rove, should have had a bitter lesson in that little fact in the last election. Remember Turdblossom's on-air meltdown and Unskewedpolls.com?

I'm thinking a candidate who couldn't even carry his own state, was only a threat to Clinton in some pollster's fantasies.

Well, this went condescending pretty quickly.

The two are not the same. As sad as you may find it, the Dems aren't ashamed of their two remaining options.

Oh momhappy, you're really wasting your sympathy there. We democrats are DELIGHTED with our candidates! I guess I shouldn't speak for all of them, but this is the general sentiment of those that I know. We are proud to have two outstanding candidates and thrilled that even if our first choice doesn't get the dem nomination, the other guy/gal is OK too.

I disagree that this mockery of the republican party isn't deserved. Who are these level-headed conservatives? What were they doing when their party did nothing but obstruct? Were they writing their representatives and saying enough with spending all your energy on trying to make sure Obama was a one-term president and do your job already? No, they were listening to their talk radio blowhards harping on and on about Benghazi and emails. The republican congress voted more than 60 times to appeal/cut back the Affordable Care Act. Was there outcry from the "level-headers" saying enough, propose something better?

They totally deserve Trump as their candidate - as evidenced by the fact that the majority of Republicans have voted for him in the primaries.

I wasn't asking for any sympathy.
And I'm not disagreeing that the mockery of the republican party isn't deserved, but there's much to blame IMO. I know some democrats that aren't delighted with their choices, so while it's great that you are, not everyone shares your views. I personally don't view Hillary or Bernie as "outstanding candidates" but again, everyone is entitled to their own political views and I'm good with that. Different strokes for different folks and just because the democratic candidates aren't my cup of tea, I'm genuinely glad that there are folks out there that feel good about their candidate choices =)
