Modified Brilliant vs Square Step Cut

I'm NOT an expert on square cuts, but my understanding is that they're different.
A square modified brilliant has round brilliant-type faceting, while a step cut has parallel cut facets -think of a hall of mirrors, where you see them endlessly reflecting in each other.
The best way to get a sense of the different faceting is to look at the certs. They usually have a drawing of the cut. It's not necessarily perfect, but should at least be useful in distinguishing these two types of cut.
