I'm about to embark on my first big reset project, turning in my .9ct solitaire for a graduated 5 stone.
I've found the side stones mostly through online and local estate sellers, which is the only way I could reasonably afford a .5ct pair and a .25 ct pair of ideal cut Lazare rounds, lol. I'm waiting on the last one to arrive this week, and then off to the jeweler!
Anyways, my center stone is a GIA F with med blue fluro. My side stones are I color for the .5ct pair, and H for the .25pair, no fluoro. I actually sort of like the mismatch because it makes my center stone look even whiter, lol, and the color difference I can see is pretty subtle and I find it kind of fun! It's like I can show people the difference between the colorless and near colorless categories. Heh.
I was just wondering if I"m the only total weirdo who is mixing diamond colors across categories like this. And if anybody has done it and regretted it?
