I recently changed my e-band to a less wide one. I think it makes a big difference and I really like it

I decided not to solder them together this time (although that may change because they feel looser individually, and I like the feeling when they are snug).

Here is the link to the original pictures https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/new-pictures.51316/

Sorry I don''t know how to get those pictures in this thread!

Here come the pictures...

I love your new setting, Sparkles! I never saw your originals, so I went back and checked out the old thread--it''s a great adjustment! You have such perfect balance (and shine!) now--not that there was anything wrong with your old set. Any ideas on what you''re going to do with the old setting?

WOW, a huge difference. I love your new setting. It blends in soooo well with your w-band and your princess. I am not a fan of princess but your set just blew me away. Great choice in getting a new setting.

What are you going to do with your old setting? Are you going to put a colored stone in it?

ETA: Your prongs are sooooo yummy.

LOVE your new setting!!!

Love it!

Sparkles, love the change! Makes your stone really pop. And I like the symmetry with your band now, they match perfectly. I''m also thinking of changing my wider band for a thinner one so it''s good to see it really does make a difference. Love it!

Very pretty indeed...love the princess cut

Thank you everyone!

I am very pleased with the difference. I actually wasn''t expecting that big of one!

They are a little big (I can shake (fairly hard) the wedding band off) so I am thinking about sizing them down 1/4 of a size, you think that would be enough, or should I go 1/2 size? I don''t mind them being snug, as long as it is possible to get them off.

I am planning on using my old setting towards a trade in on a new center diamond, one that is a little bigger, better cut, clarity and possibly color than what I have now. But not just yet... The goal is by next May (2008). It''s going to be graduation/5-year anniversary gift from Hubby. So that setting will be put towards good use

.

I still have another setting sitting at home, that is similar but in white gold that I haven''t decided what to do with yet, setting it with a gemstone is a good idea... or maybe a pendant project, we''ll see. I am sure if I tried to sell it I wouldn''t get near what I paid for it. But the diamonds taper a little and aren''t the best color/clarity (I-J, I2) so I don''t know what I want to do with it yet. It wouldn''t be until after my current ring is completely done, new center stone and all.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and compliments.

looks great!

A quarter size down would probably be good. If it were me I probably wouldn''t size it, but I like my rings loose.

Thanks! That''s sort of what I was thinking. I know I am weird, I am probably one of the few that like to be able to feel their rings on, and like the snug feeling....

Beautiful re-set!! I love how your new ring is more streamlined and elegant. It also makes your center stone look bigger!!

Thanks! I know it was weird when I first put it on it looked/felt a lot bigger to me, even though it was the same size. Amazing a band can do that! Of course it''s been 4 hours and diamond shrinkage is starting to set it....or back in I guess I should say. I think I need help...

I do feel like I have found the perfect setting for me though (finally)!

Thanks again!

I like this much better. The setting really makes the center stone look bigger. Looks good!
