My FI and I are looking for wedding bands. She has no Idea what she wants.

She found a ring like this: http://www.victorcanera.com/jewelry/bands/pave-band-in-multi-row-pave and loved it.
She had pretty much decided on it until one of my really good friends showed up a few weeks ago with that exact ring as a engagement ring! :angryfire:

So we're back on the hunt. She likes the frosted look of the above ring. I found this one: http://www.ritani.com/wedding-rings/women-s-double-micropave-diamond-wedding-band-in-14kt-white-gold/5922 and we are going to go check it out, but its wider than her Ering.

Also: Would you have to wear a spacer with the first ring and a solitare ering? I would be worried about the pave eating away the prongs on the ering?

Anyone have any other suggestions? We need all the help we can get!

Is it the exact same ring as in a VC ring or just the exact same style?

I would feel inclined to get it anyway if that was the one she loved. I hate when you have your heart set on something and it falls through!

Have you looked at ID Jewellery?

The exact same style. Exact.

I'll check out IDJ

No other suggestions? Advice about the spacer?

you wouldnt nead a spacer with that ritani.

you need a spacer when there is diamond rubbing on metal. the spacer is essentially the metal taking the punishment so it doesnt damage your important e ring.

That ritani one has that ribbon of metal, so it will be metal on metal. so you dont need one.

my concern wit the ritani is it seems very big to sit next to her e ring.

what did she like about the rounded original one?

Go ahead and buy this as a wedding ring.
Who cares what your friend did?

I agree with Kenny. Lots of people are going to have that style. Wedding bands are usually pretty similar, unlike e-rings. And who cares? Is someone going to be comparing them side by side from 5 inches away? It will look different when combined with an e-ring, anyway.

She did say that she wanted to find something different. She cares. Which is what matters.

WRT to the spacer, I was referring to if we went ahead and got the VC one. Not the Ritani one. Would you need a spacer with that one?

Thanks for all the input so far.

She likes the way the pave gave the ring a frosted sparkly look. She also liked the way it complimented her Ering the best out of what we looked at.

Yeah you would as it would have diamond rubbing against her e ring.

You can find spacers on Etsy for like 100 bucks or less.

Hmm. What about just a plain single row pave band? Or two of them soldered together? Different look. Same effect. And would only need once spacer.

Hello!

What about a 2-sided pave wedding band? That's what I have now and I love it so much. You see a row of diamonds from the top and then also from the side. I LOVE having that side-view of added sparkle.

I'm not sure if I missed this, but do you have a picture of what her e-ring looks like? That will help with suggestions.

A multi row pave band that you posted has been around for decades. It is as classic as a solitare. It really shouldn't matter if her/ your friend has it or not. They are pretty common.

I love that VC ring  I say if thats what she wants then she should get it and yes she would have to wear a spacer with it...good luck in your decision.

We actually looked at two in the store together, it comes out too wide she thought.

I think the fact the spacer would be needed has turned her off of it somewhat.
Wedding is not until 2015, so we have time.

You can stack other single row micropave bands as an alternative, which is what I currently do.

Of she doesn't want to wear a spacer, here are a few alternatives.
