In case that doesn't sit too well with you, here's the good news - you can object to such use.

For ease of access, here are the direct links to the respective help pages (which, as you can imagine, are hidden and buried deep in the menus):

I can't promise whether the objection will be honoured where you live. In the EU it's automatic and unconditional, but we have GDPR, so they have to at least pretend to play nice. Dunno about the rest of the world, but it's better than nothing.

GOD! I'm so glad I never joined any of those creepy things!!!

Don't worry, Kenny, you aren't being left out - I'm positive there are AI crawlers all over every single letter we publicly post on the internet. :D

But if you want to learn more about the depths of corporate depravity, hear this - they pirated over 80 TERAbytes of books and used those to train their AI.

80TB is a huge number to wrap your head around. Considering the average ebook file is about 1-2MB, we're talking about tens of millions of books.

Guess it's not available in the U.S. The tiny print says that the form is only available to people in certain regions.

Aw man! And I tried to check it with people in other countries outside the EU to make sure it was not a GDPR thing. Thought if it works even in Asia, surely there’s no reason for it to not work in the US.
