Hello, my fellow lovers of all things that sparkle & shine!
My name is Chrissi. I had been a regular, and took some time away to handle some curve balls life had thrown our way. I am ecstatically happy to be back among folks who love and appreciate jewelry as much as I do! It’s been an amazing return, and I’m so pleased to see so many familiar people!!
I have really missed all of you.
DH & I were born and raised on the East End of the City of Pittsburgh, PA. We reside in the quiet suburbs of the South Hills (18 miles South of the City).
He and I grew up together, but didn’t date. After graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, and I struggled finding true love, until…….
Our 20 year High School Reunion.
When we reconnected, he was separated with 4 children (3 boys, 1 girl), and I was single with 2 children (1 boy, 1 girl).
Fate brought our hearts and souls together, and 3 years later, we were married, and blended our two families into one.
Since then, my mother passed away in 2019, I started my own small jewelry business in 2020 during Covid, my DH was admitted to hospital on Christmas Eve, 2022 with abdominal pain, and 6 months later, he was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and underwent a total Thyroidectomy that November. Follow up scans and labs have confirmed no metastasis, and he has been cancer-free since November, 2023.
DH and I love to travel, and have spent a lot of time making time for each other, and with our family.
I am a Medical Professional. May, 2025 marks 28 years in my field. DH is a Heavy Highway Superintendent for a large Construction Company. He’s been building roads and bridges for about 28 years (he lost track lol!).
I went to College at Slippery Rock University of PA. I am a member of the Alpha Pi Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority (Nov., 1996), and I have served on the Chapter Advisory Board since 2015. This past Summer (2024), I was honored to attend Convention where I was recognized for 5+ years of service. It was a rare, once in a lifetime experience because I was able to share that with my very best friend, who is also my former College roommate, and Sorority Sister….Brenda.
Brenda has a bundle of health problems (many are severe), so to have her with me was a blessing and a joy. Our family traveled to Virginia where she lives; Convention was in Norfolk. We rented a beach house and invited her and her dog, Bailey to stay with us for the week. Convention was a surprise; I registered and paid her way so she could attend her first Convention….with her very best friend-me! To say she was emotional and incredibly grateful was an understatement. While I was at my meetings, my DH and our children took Brenda shopping for a dinner dress, shoes & accessories to wear at our Banquet. Bailey got to go, too, and while Brenda and our youngest daughter shopped, everyone else took Bailey for a walk. It was an absolute dream to go to Convention for both of us, and to make that happen was priceless.
Since then, her health has worsened, and life has been cruel to Brenda. So cruel, in fact, she was faced with potentially becoming unhoused. After discussion and research, she decided to move. I sent her information for housing options close to me, and this time next week, she and I will be NEIGHBORS!!! I am thrilled beyond measure to have her close to me, again! This will be the closest she and I have lived to each other since 1998!!!
She will have opportunities for better health care, a safer neighborhood, and a strong support system here. The objective is to improve her health so she is able to get back on her feet, and back to her career: teaching. If fate should have it, perhaps she will finally meet the man of her dreams, fall madly in love, and get married. One thing at a time.
Which brings me to the *real* purpose of being a member of this amazing community: Jewelry.
Since my unannounced departure in 2021, I have acquired some beautiful jewelry and diamonds; my collection has grown just a bit.
First: My Royal Asscher Pendant, “Queen”.

Second: “Uisce” found a new home, and is now nestled safely in a pendant setting. I wear her every day with my dear “Queen”.
DH and I found my Holy Grail Upgrade, and she now sits in my original E-Ring setting.

Final (for now): “Neaugh”. Pronounced “Neh” or “Nay”. My 4ct LCD EC upgrade. Words cannot describe how *SPECIAL* this diamond is; she embodies our entire story (numerically). 11.2x X 7.xx of gorgeous, flashy step-cut facets. She is a complete show stopper! A LOT of thought and research went into our search for this gem!! Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine we would find anything that came this close to what we were searching for. But, we did, and she’s here!!

I have only shared “Neaugh” and her story here on Pricescope. It’s the only platform I feel comfortable sharing everything about her because many people I know do not value these *things* like I do, and I believe some may even judge me negatively. DH and I are not wealthy people (monetarily), but we value nice things, and we do nice things for one another. After everything he and I have survived together before and during our marriage, we appreciate each other, we understand our mortality, and we believe in quality of life….even if what brings us joy involves investing money in each other.
We just renovated the first room of our house together. It was the most wonderful experience, and we can’t wait to take on our next project. Our house was built in 1920, had been “improved” to sell in 2005 when I bought it, and has survived 6 children and 2 adults over the past 20 years. It was past time to renovate. We are so proud of the work we put in it, and it looks beautiful! It took us 2 weeks from start to finish, and it was worth every minute to accomplish this together!
If you’ve read this far, thank you for taking the time. I am here to support and enjoy everyone’s love for all things that sparkle and shine.

There is still more to come, so stay tuned!
