Hi Everyone!
Sorry it took me so long to get the ceremony pictures posted, but I think I finally got some of them resized to put here on PS...some of them were such high resolution that it was nearly impossible for me to get them sized down far enough, so some of those are missing. I haven''t even begun to try to resize the dinner pictures, honeymoon pix or the ones from our reception here back at home two weeks ago, but I''ll try to work on that one day soon.
Details: We were married at the Ka''anapali Beach Club in the gardens. The rain that had showered us daily at the ceremony time every day up to and every day after our wedding. It held off just long enough for us to say our vows, take some pictures and then we thankfully got the rainbow I''d been hoping for...it was just incredible! You can see the huge storm clouds behind us in some of the photos...it made for an impressive sight!
Drama: We had a lovely day, that even the crappy photographer couldn''t completely ruin. There are many lovely pictures, but there are many more with shadows on faces, people not ready to have their pictures taken, etc... She did not want to change locations and argued with me about stopping for the rainbow photos, which are some of my favorite shots, and then once we got to the beach she took a "break" for almost half and hour while we waited for the sun to set. When I asked if we could go somewhere else to take some pictures in other areas while we waited, she snapped at me about how she knew how to do her job, gave an exorbinant number as to how many pictures she had already taken (yet we had many LESS than that number to even choose from total) and that we would have over 100 more from the beach shots. Needless to say, I was not happy with her attitude, which is in no way calming to a bride, as I''m sure you can imagine. She also tried to short us on our pictures and am currently in negotiations with my wedding planner to receive the remaining 76 of my photos, that as per my contract I am entitled to, however, she tried to charge us an additional $700 to put them on a CD for us AND tried to charge us $35 to mail them to us if we didn''t choose the initial 150 of them AND drive to her house to pick them up from her before we left. Luckily I had taken my new laptop with us and wasted night after night of my honeymoon going through the pictures to choose the best of the worst, only to read my contract when I got home stating I was to receive them all, and I am still waiting. Needless to say, she was horrible, but our friends got some lovely pictures on their cameras that I either haven''t received yet or haven''t had time to go through and resize, but I''ll work on them later this week.
The restaurant also lost the seating chart, so I had to go back up to our room to get it...no one could find it! This worked out all right because I was able to go to the restroom, get my dress bustled and cool off just a bit before heading down to dinner. It was such a beautiful place that I don''t think anyone minded the wait, and the food was delicious!
I somehow managed to keep the fuchsia shoes a secret, as well as the fact that I had helped my best friend''s BF pick out an e-ring for her and that he was going to propose the day after the wedding...since I am not known for keeping my big trap shut, it was a miracle I didn''t let anything slip! Needless to say, everyone loved the shoes and my best friend was thoroughly surprised with the proposal! We snookered her good before we left and she had NO CLUE! It was just great!
Onto the pictures...there''s quite a few, so I hope you enjoy!
