Magnetism in platinum?

Hi all and PS metal gurus especially,

I just noticed by chance that my new WF platinum pendant is magnetic. Well, just the actual bezel and clasp are magnetic - not the chain. My other platinum pieces (diamond studs and engagement band) or palladium band don't have this feature...

What causes this? Different alloy or something?

I'm no metal guru, but I've read that platinum/cobalt alloys are magnetic, so that could be the reason.

Thanks! A quick googling gives you much more hits if you know what you're looking for. Before this I has no idea of this feature.

Depends on the alloys used.
