I have to admit that I''ve never seen a sphene before in person - only photos. But wow, I wasn''t disappointed at all - I love this stone!

3.75cts, and 9.72mm - cut by Gene in his Star80 pattern.

This, and the next photo are taken under incandescent light.

In low, indirect, natural light, there isn''t any dispersion, but it isn''t unpleasant either (at least to me anyway).

Gradual addition of sunlight...

Cellantani,
Can I come over to let you photograph my stones? Your pictures are amazing and look just like Gene''s.

It''s very yellow - not much green.

Hey Chrono - you can bring your stones over anytime! I''d be over the moon to be able to photograph a collection like yours!

I think it''s gorgeous and Chrono''s right, you do take lovely photographs.

The system''s been a bit finicky, and now I can''t upload photos at all - I''ll try again later.

I will admit I''m not fond of yellow stones, but the cutting and dispersion are lovely, and great photos (as usual

Haha, too much of a brown undertone for your liking? That''s okay, I know not everyone will like this one, lol!

Cellentani, its gorgeous! You have such fine photography skills, and fine gems as well! What a beautiful cut to show off that dispersion.

Not even - it''s gorgeous and deserves to be shown off!!! I love it, it''s so beautiful, and I really have a soft spot for sphene. I think it looks great in that setting, actually, the contrasting shapes really work.
