LV''s Little OEC in a Vintage-Inspired Sally Pendant

I purchased this little OEC through eBay quite a while ago. I had started a thread about it here. It''s a small stone at .28, but has lots of personality. I''ll start with pics of the stone.

This is NOT the Sally setting. I had my local jeweler set the stone in a stock illusion head, with rabbit ears, which seem quite silly now.

I like it! Sweet OEC.

What do you plan for it? I think it would look very nice on a pendant (then again, I am biased, as I wear a little 0.35ct OMC as a pendat).

And, another before picture. My local jeweler graciously refunded me the cost of this setting and his work. The pendant never sat right and always flipped forward or side-to-side. And, then off to Thailand the little OEC went.

And, HERE is the Sally pendant, on some new greenery in my yard. Sally was wonderful to work with, just as everyone always says, and very patient with my evolving ideas about the pendant design.

The chain is 18k white gold. I think the setting is 14k white gold.

This pendant is VERY delicate. It was made by hand, which is one of the reasons why I love it.

There's a surprise bezeled sapphire! It's at the end of the chain. Sally added a ring (one inch down from the end of the chain) so that I can shorten it as I wish. It was her idea, and it makes the pendant that much more special!

The chain is a huge improvement over the one I had with the first setting. Sally is good!

I forgot to mention the eight diamond melee and the sapphire were sourced through Sally.

I like it!! Much better than the rabbit ear setting.. How does the sapphire fit in? Is it at the very end of the chain? It''s a pretty shade of blue!

Sparkly Heart, The sapphire is at the end of the chain, then about 1 inch closer to the pendant, there is a little jump ring added, so I can use the lobster claw on the jump ring for a shorter length, or just put it around the chain, and then it will catch up against the bezel for a longer chain.

Ooops - I got a little excited by the pictures and ignored the thread title... and your post... and the fact that you weren''t done posting... I like the design - quite unusual and well executed. The sapphire is very cute (please don''t be offended! I just loved the extra little touch).

I have never posted my OMC. I better do a photo session and a thread for it. As soon as the sun shines!
