Oh, Basil . . . I''m so very sorry to read your rings haven''t been found yet. Keep spreading the word at the hospital if you can.

I''m still trying to get St. Anthony to intervene for you. If you get a chance, turn over a glass (I know it''s silly, but that''s what you''re supposed to do when asking St. A. to help you find something). I''m turning one over for you now.

I am so terribly upset over this, Basil. I will be hoping, along with the rest of the PS community, that a little miracle brings your rings back home to you before you leave.

basil, I''m so terribly sorry that you lost your rings. I can just imagine how you feel..... I''m so sorry.

When you do get rings to replace yours, why not get a long thin chain- 24" or 30", put your rings on the chain when you scrub in and then slide them inside one of your bra cups (preferrably your left one, over your heart).
You won''t have to touch them to know they are there and they''ll be secure on a chain. You can get inexpensive sterling or actually even stainless chains on Ebay. (I bought my husband some stainless chains on Ebay last summer, they''re nice looking and very inexpensive). In any case, a girlfriend who is a personal trainer and can''t wear her rings because they hinder her grip on work out equipment, always puts her rings around her neck and she never loses them. Just an idea.

I hope they show up somehow. Fingers crossed. Hopefully there''s a good samaritan out there.
