Hi Guys,
I really appreciate the support and helping hand everyone offer here and I've learn soo much just from the forums. I'm a virgin diamond purchaser so I've been researching and researching and I'm about to pull the trigger but I need a target to shoot for :)

I want to see what you guys think the best diamond would be for me:

Looking for:
Carat: 1.5-1.75
Color: G or higher
Clarity: SI1 or higher (eye-clean to a normal joe)
Cut: Ex or ID
Budget $12-13k

Side Notes:
- It would be nice to have a return policy
- It would be nice to have a upgrade policy

**I've had a jeweler show me a Heart & Arrows diamond and I thought it was spectacular. The brilliance, fire and scintillation was mind blowing and something I've never seen. I didn't pull the trigger on that purchase because a few reasons: 1)It was EGL certified 2)The color was suppose to be G but look more like a "I" 3)The price seem and was inflated after i research online for about 4k (5k with taxes) more

I was almost set on buying off Blue Nile but after reading this website it seems that there are alot more reputable and informative online jewelers. (Brian Gavin, James Allen etc etc.)

Of course I'm looking for the best diamond and the best price...Whats new

Here is a video of my SETTING it sparkle like crazy but this video doesn't really do it justice. It took me 5hours in Los Angeles to find this prefect setting and now I need a prefect diamond

FYI - I paid about $1,200 for the setting. 18k Pive Band with 1.25ctw F stones. Let me know if I got ripped off

Comment on the setting if you like (its a 1carat CZ currently on the setting)

for H&A try browsing Brian Gavin Diamonds and Whiteflash ACA line

**Morning Bump**

Are there any other online jewelers that specialize in H&A? (other then BG or WF)

Wah?! Every H&A I''ve seen has demonstrated the opposite (''I'' colors that I could swear were much higher colors, at least face up).

There are others. James Allen doesn''t "specialize" and you''ll have to do more searching, but that''s an option. High Performance Diamonds specializes in Crafted by Infinity H&As, but at a quick look at their online inventory I don''t see anything within your parameters, but other Infinity vendors might have others and you could always ask them to check with Infinity if you decide you really want one of those stones.

Otherwise, of the usual PS vendors, I do think WF might be your best bet if you need to pull the trigger immediately. That one crisnpearl posted seems perfect.

Ya,
That diamond on WF meets all my criteria. Can i get a 2nd opinion on the WF diamond?

Side Question:
What discount can I get if any at WF if I pay with a credit card? I've being seeing that their might be a Pricescope referral discount. How do i get that discount?

Price $13,416.00
Pricescope price $13,013.52
Pricescope wire price $12,745.20

the pricescope discount show up when i''m logged into pricescope and click on the link, i''d imagine it''s some kind of cache?

Take the setting to a local jeweller and find out exactly what the centrestone size tolerance is (in mm). It looks like there's a lot of pave work near and on the head, which will limit how wide/closely the prongs can be manoeuvred to accomodate a larger/smaller stone... there can be a 0.5mm difference btwn the sizes you're looking at, and you say your setting currently has a 1ct (6.5mm) stone in it.. your options may be more limited than you expect.

It could very well be my eyes but is one of the stones in the setting missing?

Yssie,
You are absolutely right. I spoke to a local jeweler in my city (Tustin Jewelry Exchange) and they told me because of the PAVE work that they would not suggest a 1.5-1.7ct because it would put too much pressure on the diamond. I was going to check with the jeweler I bought this from to see if they had the same ring with a wider setting.

**But then again....they told me they would set the diamond if I brought it from them and provide me with a life warranty w/check ups**

Rubyprincess,
Good Eye. 1 stone is missing. This goes back to Tustin Jewerly Exchange visit. They told me a stone was missing. So I’m going to again try to exchange the BAND for a wider setting with ALL the stones
