Looking for help in oval diamonds

Hey all,

I know a decent amount about diamonds, but having a tough time comparing oval diamonds to find one with the maximum sparkle (I know fancy cuts like that make that tougher compared to round diamonds).

Some sites will list the maximum cut quality as very good, while others will list it as excellent, despite how GIA doesn't recognize either for ovals.

So here's my question -- if I was looking for an eye clean, 0.8 to 1 carat oval (probably more around the 0.85 just for looks but sizes can vary a ton with ovals) diamond, going on yellow gold (so doesn't have to be a perfect color but I don't want bad either), and with the maximum sparkle and little to no bowtie effect (ideally none), where would be a good place to find that info? As it seems almost impossible to check on the sparkle side of things online.

Or better yet, does anyone have any specific recommendations for oval diamonds that fit that? Whether it be on a site like Blue Nile or wherever?

Thanks!

The only option guaranteed to not have bow-tie effect is an August Vintage Inc. Opulence Oval, which Rhino on this board had developed. Check them out on Instagram (and maybe youtube) - they are noticeably better to my eyes.

Thanks for that info. They definitely look a bit different in the center compared to other diamonds I've seen.

As for others, what do you all think of these two (or a comparison):

Option 1: https://www.bluenile.com/diamond-details/LD11402862 (a 0.85 carat, IF clarity, F color, etc.)

Option 2: https://kenanddanadesign.vids.io/videos/d49ddeb71114eace5c/102-mov (that's just over 1 carat, so larger, and is a D color, VS1 clarity -- the GIA number is 2191691894 if you're curious ... it's also about $1,700 to $1,800 more, but it's also 0.17 carats larger, but the size difference isn't a big deal to me -- just want the best quality diamond in that range)

I'm open to other options if someone sells them here or knows of one that they think is better in the 0.8 to 1 carat range for an oval.

Thanks!

On the 0.9 one you found, how would you compare the sparkle to the 0.85 one I found?
