Am new to this, and just want to make sure I'm not making an obvious mistake for an engagement ring so would appreciate feedback.

The GIA cert has this plot, and I'm wondering if there's anything obviously wrong with it. It's SI1, but the reason I ask is because in comparing with other Si1 rings online, I typically don't see any inclusions on the right image, so not sure how much these matter.

Would also like feedback on the dimensions, in plugging them in to the HCA calculator they seem OK, but wondering if anything stands out.

Thanks!

Have you seen it in person? Pics? Videos?
Where's it from, did you ask if it was eye clean?
The table is busy but the crystals could be white. Hard to say just by looking at the plot

Thanks. I have seen it in person, don't have pics/videos. I can ask if it's eye clean, but I think the jeweler's answer is that anything SI1 or better is pretty much eye clean and I also don't really have the experience to know otherwise, but maybe that's a good question to ask.

To me if you can give it a good examination in person you'll be able to tell if it's eye clean or not to your standards. It would help if you could move it away from the shop lights so you're not getting blinded by the brilliance. Also give it a look with a loupe so you can see the inclusions better. Then you'll have an idea where to look unaided

if you can't see the diamond via pics/video and can't get an ASET or ideal scope, then I'd be pretty wary.

Is it expected that a B&M jeweler has this info available?

As somebody seeking info on p scope, what's drawing you to b&m? Just out of curiosity

yea not sure it's best or anything, but i live near in NYC which has lots of b&m stores / diamond district so figured that would be more convenient but could be the wrong call.

I think you'll be better off ordering from a trusted vendor on here rather than a b&m where you don't have as much info.

Completely up to you but I've noticed most here are geared toward online shopping. Not to say you can't find a beautiful Stone b&m Also. There's just such a huge pool to choose from online & it's nice to be able to filter exactly what you're looking for.
For me being able to look & research for myself & not feel that in store sales pressure was a big part of it.
If you post your budget & wishlist ppl will jump all over helping u search here

The stats look good and you’ve seen it, so do you like it? Have you seen it in different lighting? Are you happy with the price?

ID Jewelry is in NYC. Tell them you're looking for Pricescope quality. Good Old Gold is on Long Island. They are both highly regarded here. I wouldn't recommend wandering into a random diamond district jewelery shop, though.
