Hey everyone, it's been a while since I’ve posted, but I’m back on the hunt for a diamond for our vow renewal coming up in September. Since this will be her second diamond ring, I thought it might be fun to go with a colored diamond, perhaps a yellow one, for the occasion. I know the diamond market has evolved quite a bit since my initial search, so who are the reputable companies for colored diamonds these days? Diamonds by Lauren? James Allen? Jonathan at Distinctive Gem? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Does she still have and wear the stunning Victor Canera ring halo in your post history? I think you need to stick with a similar quality level. Given that previous purchase, it seems like Diamonds by Lauren's "Uber Bench" would be a good fit, whether you get the beautiful diamond @Bonfire posted or something else. Since you already have the single halo, I would think this should be a double halo or a three stone so it's different.

I'm just going to pretend I know your budget and suggest this. I love love love this ring:

Another cool option is one of the DBL "pink lemonade" type rings:

DbL! Yesss.

While we're all plugging our DbL favorites regardless of budget:

What shade of yellow do they like? They are pretty diverse.

Yes! She loves it and it still looks great on her!

Since I want it to have more impact then her original 2.7 ct, I'm thinking of spending 100K+. Fancy Yellow or maybe a Fancy Intense? Cushion, Radiant, Pear or Oval is what I'm thinking

Lucky her! Sounds like a custom project with DbL's Uber bench to me for that price range and a colored diamond, unless she would want a designer brand. With that kind of budget, I think you would want to do fancy intense unless she would prefer the lighter shades.

It does sound like you're not very focused on shape or setting or color. Do you know what she would like from this ring? Is a yellow diamond the way to go over some other color or a gemstone like ruby/emerald/sapphire? Do you know what size would be too much for her?

HI:

With a healthy budget, have a look at all kinds of colored diamonds before you decide. A small red or blue might be spectacular! :wavey:

That said, this is lovely!

cheers--Sharon

Oh my goodness- that's a glorious budget (so jealous of your wife haha). For that price, id either want to work with DBL's "Uber bench" and have David source something for you, or id call leibish to see what they have. They are experts in colored diamonds so I would 100% call them.

The other person I would reach out to is Victor Canera. I see you've worked with him before, so he might be a great person to touch base with. His work is amazing, and he has access to lots of lovely stones.
