I would like to have an estimate about this little piece:

Gemstone: diamond
Size: 5.07 × 5.11 × 3.19 mm
Clarity: I2
Treatment: untreated

Weight: 0.51 ct
Colour: H
Cut: round brilliant
Origin: Africa
Certificate IGI included number: R1D92439

Cut too deep at 62.8% :knockout: . I'd only recommend stones graded by GIA or AGS lab.

Thanks Dancing Fire for your reply.
So you think that this piece don't have any value?

I'm sure it does have some kind of value, but please keep in mind that IGI is not up to par with GIA/AGS grading standards. How much is the IGI stone?

With I2 clarity and strong fluorescence, it will likely be milky (well, milkier than an I2 without fluorescence). Probably opaque.

If you want to buy it, don't. If you already bought it, can you return?

I would not recommend buying the stone. In terms of a "value", not much. Under $500 I would guess, since it's poorly cut, milky, and graded by a less reputable lab.

It's craptastic for sure - I2 that you could see is super included and cloudy from the pic. Pass!

I'd never read an IGI report.

Do all IGI reports include the disclaimer statement "The symbols do not usually reflect the size of the characteristics."

I would value it around $300 (just a guess based on IGI grading compared to AGS/GIA graded comparable stones)

$240 is the last price in an auction sale. @skypie you went close. I was attracted by the price and by an estimate much higher of a bad "expert". Thanks to all.

the diamond is opaque
