If it makes you feel any better, I have the 1 ct necklace on their thin 10k chain and have been wearing it to sleep, shower, "run", etc for months and it hasn't broken (crossing fingers now lol). I've also yanked it a bunch of times combing my hair. I actually like it a lot. It looks like the diamond is just floating on my neck. I need to alter it to 14 inches as 16 is a bit long (goes under my shirt and I want it to just sit slightly below my collar bone). Ugh I'm eyeing that 2 ct now. For next year

I will report back after Christmas. I need to find a chance to take it outside (or into any room with better lighting than my office) to get some pictures and videos to share and solicit feedback on. I might order an Idealscope to check it out with before giving it to her.

Use some tape or string. We want to see neck pics!

Not that I know, but they never announced that they would be selling 2 ct before doing so either.

In fact they announced that they wouldn’t be doing larger sizes (I forget where) - soooo lol lightbox. Keep doing whatever you want!

Measured the 2ct pendant... rather disappointed that the stone is 7.9mm or slightly less.

Tempted to order a second one and see how they compare. Any thoughts on that? I'm just not very "wowed" by the stone.

If you don't like the stone order a new one to compare it too. Makes zero sense to spend money on things that don't make you happy.

I finally got my 1.75 carat set into a platinum setting size 5.75 and….I think it’s to big for my lifestyle!!! It’s pretty and white and sparkly but boy is it big. I also forgot to ask them to weigh it prior to setting…oops. 1C1FB9B7-DA67-410A-8269-B8E611B93388.jpeg 506CD5C0-1958-4865-96D2-C33E920F3AF2.jpeg D9D0B2D4-C680-40CB-8D16-BFFA04D0A9AD.jpeg

Your baby is soooo adorable!!

I think the ring looks perfect on you. Love the plain band. I can still see your finger so you have room to go bigger :P2

HAHA I will tell my hubby that! I honestly got distracted uploading photos and the baby happened to pop in there

Your baby is beautiful! Ring is perfect! I've yet to see a diamond that I thought was 'too big' for me :D

Second pendant arrived today. Definitely like it better than the first. Arrows are much more distinct and it measures almost .15mm wider than the first one.

Now to do a return on one of them.

Was the less nice one awful or just not as nice? I have a friend in the US who has offered to ship me one, but it would make the option of doing a return pretty much impossible

Heavens no. It was not awful or even "bad", it just wasn't "wow".

I ordered a second one to compare. Sample sizes of 1 are always hard to judge, and my wife would figure it out if I snagged her very nice ideal cut studs off her ears to compare to.

Both stones were far nicer, in my opinion, that most of the rubbish found at mall jewelry stores.

From what I've seen, I would not hesitate to buy a Lightbox for a pendant or for earrings. I'd also not think twice about buying them for a multistone ring (like the gorgeous 5 stone one in another thread here). I would stick with picking out a stone and setting personally for an engagement ring.

When I ordered, I briefly looked around to see what other options existed in the 2ct size. The next cheapest ones I found were $3300 and up, and they were far from ideal. For the price, these really cannot be beat.

I did not inspect either stone under a loupe. I used my phone's 3x and 10x optical zoom to check them out. This is a gift that's going to be worn around my wife's neck... if anyone is close enough to use a loupe to inspect them I have more problems than Lightbox customer service can remedy.

Haha thank you for your excellent review and all the detail! Your wife is going to love it.

No matter how hard I try, I just can’t. Everyone that has seen it says it’s so white and sparkly. It’s definitely pretty enough to be in a ring where I can look at it all day. I only wish the prongs were more refined, but I’m nitpicking. 30D0A370-D7B4-4B6E-8567-EAF677B205F9.jpeg

ugh it's so lovely. I need to set mine!

So I got a little excited and had 4ct studs made with the light box 2cts…… now I can’t decide if they’re too big or not for everyday! They definitely look really large sometimes but then other times they are just pretty awesome. Thoughts?
