so last night just trolling the web i saw this
so due to forum rules we have to ignore what it is paired with but i do feel inspired
it reminds me of the kind of thing HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden might wear and then everyone over at the court jeweller will complain that its costume

but this is NZ$1026 and i think that's outragouse for gold plated, but i guess it is really costume


but it is my inspiration piece
im thinking (whispering some cheapee FW pearls from Ms Wen in China)
then this as a central feature

The ring belonged to DHs great grandmother. I posted about this ring last year, you may recall.
You can see it in the photo (it's actually a tintype), which was taken about 1896.
I was floored when I looked at the photo with a loupe and saw her wearing the ring!

yes i do remember the photo, it makes her ring even more special
for the times its a very nice even possibly cheerful photo, (our old family photos all look so deadly serouse )
i think it is great nana's hat plus great grandad looks quite dapper ( a word that seems to be making a comeback when describing King Charles)
