Hi All,

From what I have read, Lazare diamonds are supposed to be ideal cut but not H&A? If so, does anyone have a picture of what the pattern should look like? Also does it come with any independent certs? What should I look for in the cert if it does?

Thanks in advance.

I''m not too familar with Lazare, aside from the fact they are supposed to cut a pretty stone. I''m not sure what you mean by "pattern", as you would not be looking at it with a H&A viewer. Use your eyes, they should tell you which one is sparkliest.

Great numbers are what you want to look for. Read up on the tutorial here to learn what those are. Also try searching on here for "Lazare" and see what comes up, I know there have been a few threads.

Can''t help with certifications.

I have only seen one. It had a GIA certificate with a some sort of laser inscription denoting Lazare Kaplan on the girdle. This was a few years ago, so it may have changed then. I never looked at it through an H&A viewer, but it had an excellent Ideal-scope pattern.
