wish there was a straight on photo of that one.

I'm thinking of this one too - with an asscher of course!! It's classic and I like how the side stones don't over power the middle stone. Leon's version of it though not Harry's!

this might be a front view or at least a very similar setting.

The more I look, I think I like single prong better.

The HW is very nice; but like the baguettes running in parallel with the band

regarding parallel or vertical. I like double prong on stones 2 ct or bigger. Leon does them so beautifully. When I told him about the 1.72 JA stone he said that he would do it single pronged. I would have to agree.

Are Asschers the only diamond shapes that can be "kicken"?

LOL
pretty much but I have used the term for others from time to time but it mainly applies to asschers.

LOL, well this thread has certainly piqued my interest in the cut. Before, I never noticed the corollation between the windmills and the corner angles, but I agree that the stone looks better if these are all the same size, i.e. bigger corner angles than I usually see. It would seem that finding that "kickenest" stone might be a challenge!

I've been waiting for ideal scope for a Diamond from JamesAllen that I had on hold after MissFortune passed on it. I was finally told today that the delay was because it was inadvertently sold to someone else. I know need to start the process all over again. Very disappointing to have have finally found the diamond I was looking for but lost it.

I guess I have to start all over again. I passed on my first reserved diamond at GoG since it wasn't perfectly square.

Karl: any thoughts on this one.

Yes they did and told em they would hold it until they got me the ideal scope. But I guess I put it on hold before it even became "available" electronically; so when Holly passed it was "available" for a bit and someone scooped it up. I guess I acted too fast.

Jim was very apologetic and is helping me find something similar. Also going to see if Jonathan expects anything in soon.

Don''t like that inclusion are right in the center. I''d like something with a bit smaller table/depth.

Its not a that bad of one but its a step down from the other.

I did a search and found some candidates if you want Jon to call them in.
With everything that is going on right now in this size range I sent the list to him in email rather than posting it.
I normally don''t do that but in pissed enough I broke one of my rules.
I don''t want someone reading this and snagging them.
If you would rather have the list posted here let me know.

so sorry!! Jim told me about the stone being sold this morning! Boo. Not his fault because it was sold through a different vendor but still... hope you find the perfect one!!!
