Khalil Mahmoud

It isn't, apparently photoshopped and the symbols aren't even listed as gang affiliated.
They've also tried to say an autism awareness tattoo and a soccer team logo were gang tats.

I was referring to the twitter/X not the tattoos

Sorry, I misunderstood.
That tweet is pure awful, though. That is what they chose to send out to the world.:(

Now y'all arresting judges who don't comply with orange orders of kidnapping immigrants.

In other news, a nevada politician who used funds meant for a slain officer to get plastic surgery and fund her daughters wedding, who was supposed to receive felony fraud charges, has been pardoned. Wonder who she's bffs with? Funny story too - she doesn't have a law degree, but was somehow appointed as a judge! Lucky gal!

I'm not sure how people are saying due process is being served. Seems like the govt can just label you a terrorist, photoshop tattoos on you and ship you off to a foreign country's prison. And then leave you there! My goodness.

On the plus side, looks like the thousands of student visas that he ripped up are being returned.

Is there really a question anymore, what all of this looks like?

The State Dept. is stating that they have made an agreement and are now deporting to Rwanda.

Remember when I was being facetious about thought crime? Saw people talking about this on YT.
Yeah.

Snip: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has broken its silence, conceding its agents were responsible for the arrest of two men during a raid on a downtown Charlottesville courthouse and promising that the bystanders who questioned those agents will be prosecuted.

So asking questions of someone and standing between them when they don't show badges, display a warrant, and one is wearing something covering their entire head while attempting to physically remove someone, is now obstruction? These arrests often look like kidnappings. Why?

Of the three plainclothes ICE agents captured on camera arresting one of the two men as he emerged from Albemarle County General District Court on Tuesday, one was wearing a balaclava masking his face and none displayed badges or arrest warrants to the man.

That's what they're saying and they don't need a warrant to enter your home anymore.

Well if that amounts to obstruction, then I am speechless. If they were showing badges and had warrants and wearing ICE uniforms then it's a different story. But from the video, none of that happened. Who would go willfully? I certainly wouldn't. And administrative warrants don't allow ICE agents t to enter a place where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy, without consent, which would seem like your home. If that is the case, then how can they enter your home without any warrant let alone an administrative one? I'm just disgusted.

It's repulsive. I'm most disgusted that these things aren't some of the biggest stories right now. This should be everywhere. This is a absolutely foundational breach of American freedoms.

Four children were deported recently. They’re U.S. citizens but their mothers are not. One child is four and has late-stage cancer.

The mothers were not allowed to contact family members to make arrangements for their children.

The cruelty is the point.

If this is the same story I heard about earlier today, the mother was doing everything required to legally stay in this country. She showed up for her appointment with immigration, this is also was not her first meeting with immigration. Her child is a US citizen. So she is doing all the right things, then 24 hours later they pulled this stunt.

It’s all about the cruelty. Who shows no compassion for a four year old child with cancer?

I'm going to strongly suggest that everyone go and read the EO released yesterday carefully, in it's entirety:

Strengthening and Unleashing America's Law Enforcement to Pursue Criminals and Protect Innocent Citizens.

I had heard about the use of the military for policing. What about the Posse Comitatus Act ? I thought the Insurrection Act was the only exception.

The Posse Comitatus Act prohibits the use of forces of the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, or Marines to enforce federal, state, or local laws anywhere on American soil unless authorized to do so by the Constitution or an act of Congress.
The Insurrection Act of 1807, as an emergency exception to the Posse Comitatus Act, empowers the president of the United States to deploy both the regular U.S. military and the active-duty National Guard—under temporary federal control—within the United States in certain extreme or emergency circumstances, such as rioting, insurrection, and rebellion.

This section seems to be contrary
Sec. 4. Using National Security Assets for Law and Order. (a) Within 90 days of the date of this order, the Attorney General and the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security and the heads of agencies as appropriate, shall increase the provision of excess military and national security assets in local jurisdictions to assist State and local law enforcement.

I can't imagine what the Constitutional Law professors are telling their law students these days.

It’s CRAZY.

ICE raided the wrong family in Oklahoma City. They just moved into their home and ICE and the FBI forced the mother and her young daughters to stand outside in their underwear. Agents stole laptops and the family’s life savings in cash.

The incompetence is unbelievable. ICE was after a former renter not the current occupants. Busted down the door and forced them. out into the rain in their pjs. Asking for ID to make sure they had the people they were looking for should have been the first thing they did.

If you really want to feel depressed- look up the “list of grievances” and notice the striking similarities.

I cannot believe I actually agree with Joe Rogan about something! I'm so glad to see people on both sides of the aisle decrying the inhumane and illegal processes taking place. You don't have to like the person or agree with their thoughts to think they deserve fair treatment.

"Here’s the problem with f--k [due process]. What if you are an enemy of, let’s not say any current president. Let’s pretend we got a new president, totally new guy in 2028, and this is a common practice now of just rounding up gang members with no due process and shipping them to El Salvador, ‘you’re a gang member.’ ‘No, I’m not.’ ‘Prove it.’ ‘What? I got to go to court.’ ‘No. No due process..."We gotta be careful that we don't become monsters while we're fighting monsters,"

Looks like it won't just be el salvador getting "illegal" immigrants, seems they are also now looking at sending people to Rwanda and Libya.

I guess even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

In good news, Mohsen Mahdawi, the Palestinian student at Columbia, has been released after two weeks in detention. He has not been charged with a crime but he still has to deal with some BS allegations.

Mahdawi’s friend, Professor David Myers of UCLA, put it well: “Mohsen was such a clear-cut case, given his extraordinary commitments to non-violence, dialogue across difference, and acknowledging the humanity of all,” he said in an email. “If it is a crime to embody such values, then the edifice of democracy in the United States has completely crumbled.”

I know, it's quite shocking

That is wonderful news. I hope these bigger cases shed more light on some of the other illegal arrests happening.
