That is a great looking ring, fantastic work.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. You aren''t kidding about it burning a hole in my pocket it''s going to be a tough 2 weeks. Anyone here have experiences with taking rings in your carry on bags for flights? Any special way I should hide it in my carry on?

Very beautiful ring. The detail is gorgeous. You must show your FI these photos so she can fully appreciate all the detail and design that went into creating this work of art.

So I just went and picked up the ring from fedex. It''s even more amazing inperson. It''s already starting to burn a hole. We are going on vacation leaving next weekend so I have to hold off until then. The only thing that worries me is taking the ring in my carry on. I have this nightmare scenario running thru my head where they for some reason open my bag and she sees it. Should I just hide the ring in a pair of socks or something when we go thru customs?

I have heard of people putting it in a felt bag, to keep it nice and shiny. and then put it in a pair of socks and then stuff the socks in the shoe so you remember which sock its in! You should be fine, just make sure you keep a very close eye on that bag! It''s gorgeous, and good luck!!

Just beautiful!!!

Stunning ring...she''s going to be thrilled!

Not that I''m advising this, but I have a friend who lightly sewed the ring into the inside pocket of his jeans that he wore on the plane. He felt more secure having it on him but didn''t want to risk it falling out of his pocket!

I dont know if i could handle having it sewn into my pocket. I think id be too scared to remove my hands from my pockets for fear it would fall out. Ill probably just put it in a felt bag and roll it up in a pair of socks and hope for the best. Im only going down to the USVI so security shouldnt be too bad knock on wood.

so pretty! she''s going to love it!

It looks fantastic! I''d say keep it on you/in your carry on for sure. box in a sock in a shoe sounds like it would work - but just make sure you''re the one that unpacks that carry on!

Even the box is nice.
