I was thinking of you today. Someone offered me some Jo-Jo cookies from trader joes... and I wondered if you liked them. They aren''t bad, but not my favorite. Not like you. I LIKE YOU!

lol. I''ve never had em......maybe I should try them though, just to see what my namesake tastes like. I think the nearest Trader Joes is like 2 hours away though.

I think they aer an over-rated store... so don''t drive 2 hours just to pick some up! But I LOVE ROADTRIPS... and this could be a perfect distraction... my daddy LOVES THEM! I just think people like Trader Joe''s because it is the next cool thing... I just think it is like any other whole foods market... so if you like those... you''ll have fun!

Just wanted to give you a smile. And how cool is it you have your own cookie?

Ya, I''m just not into the whole foods thing. But it is totally rockin that I have my own cookie......so what is there for you? Hmmm......TLH - sounds like a radio station or something.

I just found out that my grandma is going to have a complete hysterectomy on Monday. She has some masses on her ovaries, and their is a strong suspect of ovarian cancer. But we won''t know until after they open her up. She''s in ok health overall for her age, so hopefully it won''t be serious.

I hope your grandmother will be alright. My grandma had to be opened up, (her lungs) as they had to do a bio-opsy to see if she had lung cancer- she is ok, and is healing up from the surgery - so yes, it is better to be safe than sorry. I am sedning lotsa healthy dust her way, and wishing a speedy recovery from the proceedure! *******************dust!*****************

Wow. What a week. My grandma had her surgery and thank goodness - is cancer free! But on the downside, I spent the last several days down at the hospital with her, as the recovery took some pretty bad turns. She spent several days in the ICU. She finally got moved to a regular inpatient room, and now is starting to turn the corner, I think.

Oh Joflier, I missed your earlier post. You sound like a wonderful granddaughter; I bet it meant the world for you to be there by her side. I will keep her in my prayers for a speedy and strong recovery.

Thanks Skips......well tonight, they did another CT scan, and now their thinking she has a perforated bowel. Not sure what''s going to happen from here.

Oh, thanks!

Well we got my uncle involved in her case - he''s a physician, and he''s not liking the care she''s receiving. Neither am I. I have enough medical knowledge to know that things just aren''t right. So now, we''re working at transferring her to a different hospital. It definitely looks like a ruptured bowel. The surgeon talked like we the family told them no more surgery, so he hasn''t done any repair work even though he''d like to. So now he''s being dishonest and grandma is still very sick and in a lot of pain.

Oh gosh Joflier; I am so sorry that is awful.

Those kind of things are awful; what a jerk!!! I am glad your uncle is involved and can help. Keep us posted; you are such a good granddaughter looking after her. You have a big heart honey. sending you and her a hug and prayers that she gets better soon.

Oh JO! I hope your grandmother is doing better! A ruptured bowel! That just sounds awful. My thoughts are with you and your family right now.

Thanks girls! She did get transferred late last night. So she had a 2 hour ambulance ride. but now she''s MUCH closer to home, so that''s a good thing. And she had surgery this morning. She did have several perforrations in her bowel and also a meckles diverticulum that they cut out. She made it through, but is in a lot of pain right now. Hoping to see this recovery go quick.....

Hey, Jo! How is your Grandma, and how are YOU doing?

Well hi there IG! Long time, no see. I haven''t spent much time here since this whole grandma thing last month. She''s still in the hospital. Doing a little better, but still not great. Me? I''ll be perfectly honest. I''ve been better. I was doing really good for awhile there, but lately I''ve been getting depressed and lonely.
7.gif
There''s just been so many things that have just gone wrong this last month. I wish I could just go to bed one night, and wake up and have jumped to a point in my life where I''m bouncy and happy again. Sorry, I don''t mean to be such a big downer. How are you?

Aw, don''t worry about it! You have EVERY right to be in a not-so-great mood right now. And, as usual, everyone here on PS is MORE than willing to help in any way we can, so don''t feel bad about venting! You''ve had a lot on your plate lately! ((((HUGS))))
emrose.gif

I''m glad to hear that your Grandma is at least doing a little better! That''s something, right???
21.gif

I remember when I was going through my divorce, and I was so amazed at how depressed and anxious I was. I think just being in that state of mind made every little thing that came along that much harder to deal with. Don''t get me wrong, I wanted the divorce in the WORST way, and I was thrilled when I finally got my divorce decree! I think I was sad because of the loss of the marriage, not the loss of him. HE was what I wanted to be RID of! LOL! But I think a failed marriage is enough to depress anybody, no matter how much you want out of it. And at the same time, I had a LOT of anxiety because I was terrified that he wouldn''t sign the divorce papers (or worse). The whole process is such an emotional roller coaster!!!
40.gif

But I promise you, you''re going to come out on the other side of this and you''ll be much happier. Going through the divorce process sucks, but it is SO worth it once it''s all over with!
5.gif

Don''t worry . . . you''ll get your groove back!

What you describe your feelings as, sounds pretty much like what I''m feeling to a T. Its just all this in betwee garbage that''s so frustrating. It is a roller coaster. And I added some stuff to my life to just make it that much more complicated. Also similar to your story, from what I remember. Just got a keep plugging along.
Thanks for your post, babe!

No problem, sweetie! And just remember: on the days when you feel REALLY awful and nothing seems to make you feel better, just say "f*** it" and make yourself a really good drink! Works. Every. Time.

ETA: Ooooh, and you didn't REALLY think I was going to let you off the hook that easy, did ya? So, you "added some stuff" to your life, huh? If it's the same thing I added to my life right around the time of my divorce, well, then . . . WHO IS HE?!?!

I imagine that you''d find it a very fascinating, yet tragic story. But ya know, public forum and all........

Joflier!! You''ve been posting more lately and I wanted to check in on your thread and see how you were doing! I love that pic of your super dark hair, it''s gorgeous...is it still that dark?

What''s new in your life besides getting back into the dating scene? (I bet the guys are lined up for a date!)

Hey Monnie. I took a posting hiatus because work had blocked PS for awhile. Now its unblocked again, so I''m back for often now.

I had lightened the dark back to a medium red, but now I just went back to dark again. I don''t keep a color for long! But the dark grew on me - thanks! And I have grown my bangs out again. Bangs are just too high maintenance. I got a 2nd part time job @ a local small town hospital, and have been spending time in surgeries, and wearing a surg cap is murder on keeping your bangs looking good.

So, yes, dating again - fun stuff! lol. Like I said, I have a 2nd job, so between the 2, I''m working almost non-stop lately. I''m trying to slow down for the rest of summer. Just take a little time and enjoy it. So I can now make ends meet, which is great, and get a little money put away for fixing up my house. My fall/winter project is going to be redoing my bathroom. My dad and I are gonna do it together, so I''m really looking forward to doing that with him.

Divorce is scheduled to be finalized on Sept 2nd. (which oddly enough, would be our 7th anniversary of being together) How fitting. Just under 3 weeks to go!

So that''s my little update in a nutshell.
