lol. I''ve never had em......maybe I should try them though, just to see what my namesake tastes like. I think the nearest Trader Joes is like 2 hours away though.Date: 2/27/2009 1:13:22 PM

I was thinking of you today. Someone offered me some Jo-Jo cookies from trader joes... and I wondered if you liked them. They aren''t bad, but not my favorite. Not like you. I LIKE YOU!

Oh Joflier, I missed your earlier post. You sound like a wonderful granddaughter; I bet it meant the world for you to be there by her side. I will keep her in my prayers for a speedy and strong recovery.Date: 3/30/2009 8:01:49 PM

Wow. What a week. My grandma had her surgery and thank goodness - is cancer free! But on the downside, I spent the last several days down at the hospital with her, as the recovery took some pretty bad turns. She spent several days in the ICU. She finally got moved to a regular inpatient room, and now is starting to turn the corner, I think.
Joflier, I will pray for your grandma. I am sorry.Date: 3/31/2009 9:13:53 PM

Thanks Skips......well tonight, they did another CT scan, and now their thinking she has a perforated bowel. Not sure what's going to happen from here.
Oh, thanks!Date: 3/31/2009 11:22:11 PM

Oh, thanks!
Well we got my uncle involved in her case - he's a physician, and he's not liking the care she's receiving. Neither am I. I have enough medical knowledge to know that things just aren't right. So now, we're working at transferring her to a different hospital. It definitely looks like a ruptured bowel. The surgeon talked like we the family told them no more surgery, so he hasn't done any repair work even though he'd like to. So now he's being dishonest and grandma is still very sick and in a lot of pain.
Well hi there IG! Long time, no see. I haven''t spent much time here since this whole grandma thing last month. She''s still in the hospital. Doing a little better, but still not great. Me? I''ll be perfectly honest. I''ve been better. I was doing really good for awhile there, but lately I''ve been getting depressed and lonely.Date: 4/10/2009 11:26:46 PM

Hey, Jo! How is your Grandma, and how are YOU doing?![]()
Aw, don''t worry about it! You have EVERY right to be in a not-so-great mood right now. And, as usual, everyone here on PS is MORE than willing to help in any way we can, so don''t feel bad about venting! You''ve had a lot on your plate lately! ((((HUGS))))Date: 4/13/2009 7:05:06 PM

Hey, Jo! How is your Grandma, and how are YOU doing?
There''s just been so many things that have just gone wrong this last month. I wish I could just go to bed one night, and wake up and have jumped to a point in my life where I''m bouncy and happy again. Sorry, I don''t mean to be such a big downer. How are you?![]()
What you describe your feelings as, sounds pretty much like what I''m feeling to a T. Its just all this in betwee garbage that''s so frustrating. It is a roller coaster. And I added some stuff to my life to just make it that much more complicated. Also similar to your story, from what I remember. Just got a keep plugging along.Date: 4/14/2009 1:16:30 PM

I''m glad to hear that your Grandma is at least doing a little better! That''s something, right???![]()
I remember when I was going through my divorce, and I was so amazed at how depressed and anxious I was. I think just being in that state of mind made every little thing that came along that much harder to deal with. Don''t get me wrong, I wanted the divorce in the WORST way, and I was thrilled when I finally got my divorce decree! I think I was sad because of the loss of the marriage, not the loss of him. HE was what I wanted to be RID of! LOL! But I think a failed marriage is enough to depress anybody, no matter how much you want out of it. And at the same time, I had a LOT of anxiety because I was terrified that he wouldn''t sign the divorce papers (or worse). The whole process is such an emotional roller coaster!!!![]()
But I promise you, you''re going to come out on the other side of this and you''ll be much happier. Going through the divorce process sucks, but it is SO worth it once it''s all over with!![]()
Don''t worry . . . you''ll get your groove back!![]()
No problem, sweetie! And just remember: on the days when you feel REALLY awful and nothing seems to make you feel better, just say "f*** it" and make yourself a really good drink! Works. Every. Time.Date: 4/15/2009 5:45:54 PM
