I would love to meet up with you sometime in WI! My relatives are all up around the twin cities, are you anywhere near there or on the southwest side of the state?

I''ve been to WI once... Steven''s Point. I met the world''s NICEST people! Well, couple. So I am basing my positive oppinion about WI on them... that and my dad was born in WI!

I was there in September, middle to end. It was COLD and RAINY! I didn''t pack for it at all! I had to buy all sortsa stuff from there - sweaters and what not... but after the first week in town... it began to warm up. I borrowed a bike (a Giant, not a motorcycle) and rode around the lake. It was beautiful. Took only a couple hours to see the entire town.

It was very hospitable, and I felt very welcomed.

By weapons.. I meant, what do you LIKE to shop for, shoes, clothes, furniture, makeup.....

Stevens Point is a nice town. I''ve only been there a couple times....mostly just passing through, but the drive that direction is lovely, esp in fall! What town was your dad born in?

For shopping, I love all kinds of things. Shoes and clothing mostly. I went a little hangbag crazy for a while, and now I''m onto getting some home decor items. Trying to spruce up the house to get it looking like a put together home again. Work in progress. I''m on a quest to find some inexpensive pictures for the walls......I usually like the selection at TJ maxx, but they didn''t really have anything on sale, so I skipped on that for now.

Ha - already done! The office is burnt red. And I''m now in process of painting the trim white. Its great. Loud and great!

SWEET I love decorating w/ red! We have hand me down couches.. and DH won''t let me spend money on new furniture since we got a late start by moving across the country... both took pay cuts (I thought it was a raise... WASN''T... grr, dang commission jobs!) So we are saving for a house. I am on a spending freeze.. so whenever I want to spend money, I go for a run or swim... he''ll go for a bike ride, run or swim with me. It keeps us fit and trim... which is a good distraction.

(oh yeah, my dad says Fond Du Lac. His fam then moved to PA and settled in south bend, indy)

So I didn''t see you mention any bros or sistas.. you an only child?

I was 10 or 11 I think, and me and bunch of friends were playing spin the bottle. It was so funny - me and this boy both had a crush on each other, but when the bottle landed on him, we were too shy to kiss in front of the group, so we went behind a tree or something for it. lol. Ah - youth. My first real kiss was when I was 14. I was on a school trip and met this "older" boy from another school. (Older means he was 16)

Anyhow, we hung out the whole weekend trip, and during one evening, were on this beach by ourselves and were looking at the stars, and there was a falling star and as he was pointing at it, he leaned over and kissed me. I have to admit it was a very romantic setting.

It went pretty freaking awful. I can''t really go into too many details since we''re in a public forum. But ya, imagine the worst and then add a little to it. Let''s just say I was mislead as to why I was actually going, and was very unprepared for what transpired. Anyhow, that''s life.

On the bright side, I have an appointment Monday morning to retain my attorney and officially file divorce papers.

Thanks Em and jsm! There''s just too much drama going on right now in my life. I couldn''t even begin to describe some of the stuff going on. That and it being a public forum, I''m trying really hard to be careful about what I say for now. But eventually it''ll all blow over and things will look up. Not that its all bad, cuz overall I''m content with a lot of the big pieces of my life.
