James Meyer 1.1ct M OEC

Beautiful. His pieces look so classic and special to me. Doesn't he have a son who does the same kind of style?

Just received the GIA report. (I have to say, it seemed a bit crazy to me- buying the ring with very little information and without seeing it in person first, but I knew I could trust Jim's opinion!)
Old European Brilliant
6.40 - 6.64 x 4.17mm
1.10 carat
M
VS1
Polish-good, Symmetry-fair, Fluorescence-none
Table 45%, depth 63.9%
Slightly large culet (that surprised me- I can barely see it!)

Beautiful, what a find! And it really compliments your braided band! =)2

I took pictures today with my original ERing. I looked at the GIA certs of both also, to compare the size. I knew they were similar in Carat, but the diameters are almost identical. I definitely thought the OEC was facing up larger- turns out, its was just the illusion of the bezel.

Original Ering:
1.03ct
Round Brilliant
6.55 - 6.59 x 3.93
J SI2 (strong blue Fluorescence)

OEC:
1.1ct
6.40-6.64 x 4.17
M VS1 (no Fl)

Both are gorgeous rings, but that JM ...:love: You’re so lucky to have snagged one from his retirement sale. Color me jealous! :mrgreen2:
