It's been my experience that Gene's photos are amazingly color accurate, and I get exactly what I see on my screen when I order from him. And his cutting is awesome!

Well, it doesn't get any better for me.

In my opinion, it doesn't get any better for anyone! When I was recently setting a red spinel, I considered a setting that looked exactly like the one you chose...and I almost went with it. It looks even better with your stone (which is cut more beautifully than mine, I must admit), because yours is more delicate and I think that this setting is a delicate one. You are making me die of envy, even though I just had a wonderful stone of my own set. This is a ring any red stone lover would kill to own. I surely would!!!

Wow I love it!!

I've actually considered a setting like that myself, it is very similar to a Tiffany ring, but so much lovelier with your center stone. Can you share where you got it? Or if anyone has seen anything like that for sale please post!

I was messing with my camera settings today and got some great shots I'd love to share. It's amazing the subtle differences from shade to direct sunlight. Even in the shade at different angles it looks different. This truly is my holy grail ring (but don't tell my other rings - wouldn't want them to get their feelings hurt)

I love this ring. It reminds me so much of a stylized rose, with the marquis bracts surrounding the flower and the round "leaves" below. As the owner of a rescued puppy mill bichon fise, that it has a humane provenance raises it to perfection. And, of course, Gene's cutting with a fine quality Mahenge spinel, colored gems don't get any better.
