Yes, Kaleigh, I agree.
And let''s have some pie with our hug, shall we? Lemon meringue, anyone?

(DF--I added your quote to my sig, hope that''s okay. I just can''t let it go, I love it!)

HeHe, I second Kaleigh- but I must admit I think that some of this thread, and the comments/feelings posted, are slightly over-dramatic...

Did someone say pie?

I''m just here for the pie. I thought someone would bring some by now

Oh, there it is!

Is there any cheesecake?

Haven, I am honored.

How about a chorus of Kumbaya before the pie is served?

With strawberries!!!!

ETA: Liz Taylor is a pimptress and I am honored to share a first name with her.

Belle, you are right!

I know some words are loaded but guess I have to add "cocktail ring" to the incendiary list!!!!

Like I said before, this thread really needs to end!
I totally agree - this thread has gotten out of hand, but you have to understand that when you open the flood gates around here, the water is going to pour in! You asked for honest opinions of your ring, you got them, whether you like them or not, you can''t really turn around now and decide, well I don''t like the answers, everyone can shut up now.

Back to the point, it doesn''t matter what anyone else thinks of your ring, if you love it and the man who gave it to you, that''s all that matters. Congrats on your engagement!

Is it okay if I have s''mores pie instead of lemon? I feel it fits with DF''s kumbaya better.

Yeah but everything''s good now: we''re partying and having PIE!!!!

Boston Cream Pie (technically not a pie, but a cake, but who cares) is my fave.

*chuckle*

Man - this thread is one for the books. Sensitivity overload, anyone, with that cheesecake?

Musey, I think tofu cheesecake would be even better!

I''ll have a cocktail with that pie please

Make mine a double but maybe not with my migraine coming on!

PS...totally splitting hairs BUT...

if you ask if something looks ridiculous, I guess people could just say YES or NO. But people have rationales for their views, and thus might say, Yes, because blah blah...or NO because blah blah. I guess it really depends on how much information you wanted.

That looks delicious!

I''ll take a slice of any pie y''all have got. And some more DiamondFan quotes, please!!

Um. Musey. I think I have to fly to Cali and hunt you down. I'm supposed to be watching what I eat, not gobbling down a whole smores pie! Do you know what you've done?

If Skippy were around, I'd make her meet me somewhere and give her half of it...

Stupid time of month.

ETA: If it were so simple DF(with the yes or no), I think this could have gotten more heated, only quicker. But I agree, everyone always wants to validate their opinion, which in this case I think is reasonable. I just think it got blown WAY out of proportion.

I''ll take a slice of some sugar free/fat free pie please (wedding diet!)

And a few rounds of Kumbaya too, please!

I did just have a giant piece of DELICIOUS tiramisu at dinner, but I always have room in the belly for more dessert!

Boy I wish someone would have mentioned we were having pie before I ate half a pint of passion fruit gelatto!

iluvcarats, what type of pie do you want?

Sweet Dream Pie.

Audrey Wood. Illustrated by Mark Teague.
New York, NY: The Blue Sky Press (Distributed in Canada by Scholastic Canada), 1998.

EXCERPT:

"I haven''t slept a wink tonight," Pa said. "I''ve been craving apiece of Sweet Dream Pie, just like the one you made me long ago."

The last time I made that pie you ate too much," Ma grumbled. "And your dreams weren''t sweet."

Pa Brindle blew the cobwebs off the trunk, then threw it open - and all the cats in the neighbourhood opened one eye.

An enormous mixing bowl, a great rolling pin, a gigantic pie pan, and a small brass bell glistened in the lantern light.

"I''ll be good this time," Pa promised. "One big piece of Sweet Dream Pie, that''s all I want."

"Well then ... I''ll make it, and you help," Ma agreed. "But if things get out of hand, don''t blame me."

HI:

There is nothing a good bottle of champagne won''t fix (to he** with cocktails....
