Is this milky... or a bad picture?

Seller assures me it's not and they do have a fine return policy, but I'm just trying to figure out if this fluor diamond is actually milky or if I'm trying to look for something that's not there...

It's a 2.53 F VS2 cushion cut at 30X ... one thing that makes me think it's a bad/blurry pic is it's not in UV light here and still doesn't look colorless to me...

I don't see it as milky. Have you seen the other post on milky, where KarlK who is a diamond designer here says
you cannot capture the milky look in photographs.

What is the symmetry of the diamond, maybe it is just me but it looks different at the bottom right corner, is it
lying straight, maybe that is it. I personally like the pattern in the centre.

Edited to add, I had the picture way magnified on my screen and when it is reduced it is not noticeable as being
more rounded at the bottom right.

Symmetry is "excellent."

I doubt it's milkiness, but who says it is VS2?
Some labs are more forgiving than others, and sellers can be VERY 'ahem, cough, cough' 'forgiving' if the stone was not graded by a reputable lab.

Oh, and you can't judge diamond color in pics.
That's what reputable gem labs are for.

Search around PS and you'll find zillions of JKLMN diamonds that look white in pics and many Ds that look yellow.

It's GIA ... does it not look VS2 to you? The report actually seems to have very few inclusions marked for the VS2:

http://www.gia.edu/cs/Satellite?reportno=2166148299&childpagename=GIA%2FPage%2FReportCheck&pagename=GIA%2FDispatcher&c=Page&cid=1355954554547

I downloaded the pdf file and looked at the GIA report for the diamond.
Since GIA graded it VS2 and did not mention anything about cloudiness in the notes I'd say ignore the pic when forming an opinion on the diamond's clarity/milkiness.
There are a zillion things that can cause a pic to not tell the truth, some of which are not the vendor trying to lie in a pic.

Taking good 'true' pics of diamonds is very very difficult.

thanks! glad it seems like I've finally found "the one"

If you do see something, most likely what you're seeing is fine leakage. Under an ASET or IS you will notice lots of little white spaces everywhere. it is inherent to this style of cushion.

Partly that and partly the photo is out of focus.
