I am debating if it's time for these stackers to go...please be honest.

Both thicker rings are nice, especially plain gold one. But as stacker, no. It's too much (even to me :) ).

I think they would look fine by themselves, with your ring, not so much. I think of stackers as several thin rings being worn together.

I'm not digging either as a stacker but I like the plain gold one as a RHR.

IMO the top band, even worn by itself, is a bit dated. I think the plain gold band worn by itself isn't dated and would look nice as a rhr. I think both bands are too thick to be worn with a solitaire, and several thin stacking bands would be a more flattering and current look.

I too believe they are too chunky to wear as stacker rings, however, they would look nice worn on their own, in the middle finger especially.

DK :))

I have to agree with everyone else. The thick bands are too thick to be stacked but would like fine alone.

Chic or dated?
Chic and dated are not mutually exclusive, as this poll requires.

In fact the more chic some thing is today, the more likely it is to end up seen as dated.
Today's examples are the pillbox hat, the mullet hairdo and the marquis diamond cut.
Tomorrow's will be the princess cut and a halo setting on a 1.5mm band encrusted in melee on 3 sides with a peekaboo-surprise sapphire or diamond.

We'll I wish pillbox hats hadn't gone out of style, so flattering.
The human craves change for change's sake it seems.
Pop either of those thick bands on your middle finger right hand - maybe even first finger if you're a fashion maven - and you are good to go! :)

I don't follow your argument. You claim that the terms are not mutually exclusive, but you only prove that anything extremely chic BECOMES dated...meaning that when something is chic, it has the potential to become dated.

I did not ask if the look had the potential to become dated, I asked if it was dated or chic....and according to your argument, the two do not coexist at the same time, but one evolves into another. So yes the poll is worded correctly.

I think they are beautiful rings on their own, but too much together.

They aren't dated styles but I just think they'd look better alone. Too much finger coverage and the ering stone gets lost in all the metal.

I wouldn't necessarily use either term.

I just don't think those wide bands look good with the e-ring.

I'm pretty much with everyone else, either ring is fine as a stand alone (either rhr or middle finger on either hand) but not in conjunction with the ering since they aren't really stackers. The ering needs a thinner band (or two).

Thanks everyone...The princess solitaire is not my e-ring...which is why I wore it creatively on my right hand for a while, so it wouldn't look like an e-ring...but I guess it's time for a new look.
