Do you have pictures?

Old world diamonds has vintage stones but their site isn't working for me for some reason. Maybe look at their site tomorrow.

Here's one I found:

I don't think GIA gives cut grade for OECs. Is that a MRB? Have you seen it in person?

If it's an OEC we need pictures.

Ok the following are the only pictures I have of the diamond as it is set in a rose gold halo and a picture of the band.

They also have a nice 1.8 q-r color diamond that is also a lovely silver color same price.

Gia report for both says Shape and Cutting Style: Old European Brilliant.. does that help?

The picture looks like a not so well cut MRB to me.

Yup. Not on OEC.

Got a GIA number? Weird that GIA would call that an OEC.

ugh, yeah it looked a little too good to be true that's why I came here to the experts! so, the diamond a no-go will start looking again.. perhaps go to my original idea of a BG Blue ..

Does the band atleast look like a good deal?

Sorry I cannot comment on the band. What are you looking for? Size? Color? How much would you like to spend? I might be able to some things in my eBay watch list with you.

I meant to ask what kind of center stone you're looking for. I'm sorry, maybe that was confusing. I have some nice and ok OECs on my watch list ranging from $5000-$10000. Most of them are between 1.2 ct - 2 ct.

Looks like a badly cut MRB to me and I find it hard to believe it is eye clean. I would pass.

+ 1 another vote that it looks like a badly cut round brilliant. Why don't you email Erica or Grace from Jewels by Erica and Grace and tell them what you are looking for and your budget and see if they have anything coming in. Sometimes they have stones arriving that don't make it to their inventory and they will also try and find something for you. Check out their modern and their vintage rings as well.

There are always a few old cuts posted on LT and DB in the lower color range. You can probably find something there too. just have to be patient and wait....then of course jump on it as soon as you see it.

thanks for the advice all :)

I sent oldworlddiamonds an email and they are going to give me some options. db and erica did not have anything that truly wowed me atm.. we'll see :) I can be patient.. I think! :P
