Is the band I choose too petite?

So,

I got my ring from whiteflash yesterday. It is a 1.045 princess cut, using the whiteflash petite band. From the pictures, being closeups, it looked like the band and the stones were much bigger than they are in person. I think it is beautiful and it makes the diamond pop and the stone itself is mezmorizing. I was just a little bit suprised at how petite "petite" really meant.

My GF has very short fingers and a little wide, her since is 7.75. I'm concerned she won't like the petite band. The other bands we were looking at had a little more width. But on the other hand, having shorter wider fingers, the thin narrow band might be a good thing. The other plus is the wedding band would probably make everything look perfect, it would add the little extra width. Any opinions?

Here is the ring.

I think it's proportional to the stone. I don't think it would be as pretty if the stones in the band overwhelmed the center stone. She will probably pair it with a wedding band, which will give her a more substantial look. I think it's gorgeous and she's going to be thrilled to wear it!

I think it looks great, actually. When it's paired with a matching band or two, it's going to be wider on her finger as well. She might prefer this narrow band to make the stone pop, also.

Thanks for your comments! :appl:

I think it is lovely, I prefer a thinner bad as I think it makes the stone look bigger, and once the wedding band is on her finger it will add to the thickness.
