Independent appraiser near Birmingham, AL

Does anyone know of a good independent appraiser near Birmingham, AL? I checked the PS list and the closest one is 3-4 hours away in Atlanta. I'll drive there if it's really necessary, but I'd rather not. Especially because I want to get the ring appraised before proposing and I think my SO would notice if I took a day trip, lol.

It's all good. And yes, it has been completed. It arrived at Pearlman's on Thursday from Ritani. Bill inspected it and Julian was getting ready to ship it out, but we decided to wait until Monday so that it won't be sitting at FedEx over the weekend. It will be in my hands on Tuesday. I asked Julian to take a few pics to keep me from exploding, lol. I was going to wait to post any pics because they aren't the best, but since the cat's out of the bag... I love the way it turned out and I'm really excited to see it in person. I might end up keeping it for myself, lol.







ETA: The lighting is bad, there isn't a profile/side view to show the pave and custom gallery, etc. I'll try to take some proper pics when I get it.

One thing that I thought I'd mention, John Pearlman does appraisals too, so if you'd like, maybe you could talk to Julian about that option? He is a GG and showed us several very detailed appraisals he'd done, when we were visiting. Just throwing it out there since it crossed my mind. Good luck with the proposal

Thanks, everyone. hmm. I might just get Bill to do a quickie appraisal for convenience. Niel - yes, it's one of her Xmas gifts. I might let her open it a little bit early, though.

msop - that's awesome. I had no idea that other PSers lived around here. I'll do some searching and let you know what I find out. Thanks for the suggestion.
