Jeff White will be shipping my asscher spinel tomorrow!!!!! He was such a pleasure to work with and we couldnt be happier with how everything turned out! I will post more pics as soon as I get my little hands on it!

It is flawless and is 3.07 ct.

I dont really know what we want to set it in. This will be my engagment ring and I would like something simple. I would like for the focus to stay on the stone. One thing I do know is it will be set in white gold. We would love suggestions from the pricescope family. Maybe something with side baguettes??? Double claws?

Wow wow wow wow That is my "someday" stone, or not that one in particular, but a pink spinel asscher in a hefty size, preferably from Jeff. I hope you fall instantly in love with it!!!!

Here's an older thread where Kismet requested suggestions for a setting for her asscher stone. My favourite is the Taffin but there are also many other beautiful choices that include double prongs, bezels and more.

What about going with a solitaire setting with an elaborate basket/gallery, like Kelpie's asscher tourmaline setting?

pink is not my thing.....but your stone is very much lovely AND e-ring worthy! i'm so glad you're going to let it be the star of your ring. it deserves to be and can hold its own against any diamond solitaire.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I am trying to remain calm until it comes to my front door...lol.

Chrono-I opened the link to the Taffin with my husband standing next to me and I think my heart pitter pattered...lol. That setting allows the stone to be present and at the same time is soo simple and elegant.

I will share a little of what Jeff told me about the finished stone:

It is 7.9 mm. 3.07 ct and a hard to find delicate pink. He did take a artsy snap shot of the stone with another stone( a mint garnet) he had cut for another client. I dont want to post the picture due to the fact that he mentioned he is considering using it as the cover of his brochures and Im not sure if the mint garnet has gotten to its "home" yet

He does mention that in the picture I have posted there is a hint of lavender in the stone. He said it is just a reflection as the pic was taken outside and the sky was very blue that day. He said its very bright and sparkly.

I will be taking all kinds of pics when I get it to share with PS. If anyone has anymore ideas for settings dont hesitate to post. So far that Taffin Chrono posted is amazing!

The hubby and I are also seeking suggestions on settings for this gem.I have been looking at settings since Jeff told me he had shipped it and nothing but that Taffin setting has really given me any excitement
