And I have news!!!!!! My Mike R (RDG) pink diamond ring is finished. YAY!!!!!!!!! I am just waiting for the "glamour" shots from them. Since I started this process almost a year ago, I'm doing the happy dance now!!

Your ring is amazing - I can't wait to see shots of it on your fingers! It's a serious piece of art.

I am having a 5 stone ring custom made, paid for it today. My .84 K will be joined by .64ctw and .30ctw sides in an unplated WG setting.

I'm part of the club now as well! Here's my backstory: DSS started to set in but unless I win the lottery, no way was I going to be able to get a larger stone (not that my 2.9 isn't large, but DSS is DSS after all!) I had it in a simple cathedral setting, which I liked, but picked because I couldn't decide what I wanted - so many different settings to chose from. I had thought to go something really different and looked at a tension setting (okay, bypass setting ), but when I saw it IRL i decided it wouldn't work for my e-ring. Might still do something like that for a RHR. So, I was back to square one. THen a friend asked for help purchasing pear side stones. WHen hers came in we were playing with them and I got to thinking how nice they looked with my RB. I had a three stone ring years ago and liked it, so started looking around. I must have looked at every three stone ring setting ever made! I decided to go with two pears, purchased them from James Allen - very easy process, lovely folks to work with. I worked with Pete at Quest to design a setting - I brought a ton of pictures with pieces of this one I liked and bits of that one - but none totally did the trick. He "got" my vision right away, added lots of good (better) ideas, and now here I am ... waiting on my custom design to come in! WOO HOO. So it'll be my 2.9 RB center GSI1, 1 ctw sides - EVS1 and FSI1, platinum, minimum metal and pins and needles for 4-5 weeks!

No, not this year, though you and Yssie are both making me desperately regret that decision. You must be packed and ready to go!! I don't know how either one of you can stand it.....I can't stand it! waiting, waiting, waiting... it has been about 5 months since inception....the ring will be ready next WEDNESDAY!!!!!! WOoo hoo! one more week, after 5 months it is not going to matter so much. but being a week away just gets me soooo excited!!!!

I am waiting for my light yellow OEC ring. Graded by IGI lab as O Colour as we don't have a GIA lab here in AUS. I have attached a pic of the OEC on its own (pic from PS seller) and OEC next to a GIA graded 1 ct radiant FLY ( at jeweller)for comparison. I think it may be lower/ warmer than an O. the jeweller thought it was an FLY (as it is a bright stone) till we compared it next to a real FLY. A full SMTB will happen soon!!!! So exciting!!!

June 8th marks 2 months? I don't know what my deal is, but I just went and looked up Yenny 's old thread and that was totally fun. I do love her 3-stone too

I've been following some of the projects with great interest.

My jeweller told me the ring would be done in 2 weeks, and Thursday will make 3 WEEKS!!

I hope I hear from him soon.
