Ideal cut with non-ideal measurements?

I'm looking for a 1.5 ct princess cut with an ideal cut on James Allen, and even though I've filtered on Ideal cut there are measurements that don't seem ideal, like 75% table. How can that be? How come the PS site doesn't usually have the Cut values filled in?

there are no official standards for ideal cut fancies. you can have a very nice 75% T princess. pick ones that look good from the video, narrow it down to 3, and then get ASETs. If you don't know what to look for, select "True Hearts" cut, and then try to pick ones that look kind of like those.

Only AGS grades the cut of princesses.

I'd shop for a princess cut that AGS gave their top cut grade to, AGS 0.
That or buy a branded princncess like a Whiteflash ACA or a Solasfera.

The princess cut has several rows of pavilion facets so it is too complex to judge just by just the depth and table.

So if the ideal cut is not based on measurements (like table %), then what is it based on? Could a VG or G cut with a 68% table look and sparkle better?

That's a very good question. Unfortunately, you would have to ask JA what their parameters are. It's possible. As stated before, the only lab that reliably grades cut in princess cuts is AGS.
