Well, I pricescoped that diamond to those specs, and got diamonds in the 2000.00 range, so if hes basing it off of that, then hes right... At this point, we will have to wait and see. I am going to have to resist the temptation of keeping it. Just the fact that I have a diamond to give to my girlfriend is so exciting! Unfortunately, I havent heard back from the japanese company. Its been 4 days! Does anyone know who I can get ahold of for a setting like this one?

Can you tell me where you got these pics from please as it''s exactly the setting I''m looking for.

Whiteflash has made a similar setting. Here''s Jennylyn''s ring that has sidestones added, but you can get the idea..

Thats georgous! I did get one response, the jewler said it would cost 2500.00 to have that setting made. Japan, wants around 700.00! Also, a local jewler said that you have to have a new mount put on if you are changing diamonds. I didnt know that! They also quoted me 200.00 to have that done!

Just to reassure you... it looks like the seller is a good one... as far as ebay goes. Her Negative feedbacks are not suspicious, and they are old. When are you getting your appraisal done, just in case? Good luck finding the right setting- I know a good B & M store here that seems to like to work with finding ANY setting you want, but that one is local to here- Portland, ORE and not online.

Thats funny you should mention that... I am near Albany Ore! But that second setting that I showed you is the one that I am going with. I just found out that you have to have the head replaced when you get a new new diamond. So, its back to saving money again for me! Nice running into you!

Well, a little update! I had the stone appraised today. The report is accurate, so that means that I am going to keep it. I also, dropped it off with the setting and it should be ready for pickup next wednesday! I am so excited! I will post pics when I get it back!
