There is also the option of choosing this one: LD06525917
It's the most expensive but it fits the measurements and also has VVS2 clarity (color G).
Girdle slightly thick
I think what you already had is nice no need to spend more. Can you afford the setting she likes in platinum with your options?

yes, absolutely. I will pick setting No. 7214 in platinum.
I'm just having trouble deciding between clarity or color:
SI1 G color (LD06843307) or VS1 I color (LD06376963)
I really don't want the inclusions to be visible but I also don"t want a yellow tint..

Start a chat with someone ask if the g is eye clean, they're usually very honest. If it is eye clean choose that one, as I think you'll want a high color to match the platinum. If it's not eye clean, I is perfectly fine in platinum, but, g is just "better"

I just called them, they will have the diamond examined and send the information to be via email asap.
Thank you all for your help, you are amazing!
I feel really comfortable with whatever choice I make now between those two, I'll be getting a great quality diamond for much less than the dud I picked initially. I'm so lucky to have stumbled upon this forum during my research.
I really appreciate your support and guidance!

So excited for you
Either option will be gorgeous!! Hopefully the G will be eye clean!

Which setting is the 7214? Can't seem to find it.

I have a G/SI1 that is eye-clean and love it. I can definitely see the tint in anything H or lower

My price limit including the setting would be 5500 to at the very max 6000 Eur all in (including tax).
As for the setting, she likes simple and delicate (like the classic tiffany setting) or those that are smaller close to the diamond and then get wider (I hope this makes sense, i'm lacking the english vocabulary). it should be platinum too.

Something like these:

This one on the top?

Oh yes, I see the setting now after I changed my region to Europe. It's the 7214 Classic Six Claw Solitaire Engagement Ring in Platinum. Very classic and beautiful!

It's more expensive, but did you also have a look at 23184 - Petite Nouveau Six Claw Solitaire Engagement Ring in Platinum? The prongs in that setting are a little more delicate and similar to the Tiffany setting. Either choice will be beautiful!

i did see that one too, it's beautiful. but to be honest i didn't see a big difference that would be worth it for me to pay almost double the price. i figured i'd put the money towards the diamond instead ;-)

I totally agree put as much towards the stone as you can is a great idea.

Agreed too! Just hanging around PS too much and I know many are very picky with the prongs etc.
Though I really like how BN set the stone pretty low!!
